Ofra Haza - This Pain

This is from the album "Yamim Nishbarim" ("Broken Days") and most, if not all, of the songs - music and lyrics - are written entirely by Ofra or in collaboration with other writers. As I recall from the album notes, the song is one that Ofra wrote after a bus crash that killed several schoolchildren in Israel.

foi a primeira cantora de Israel que descobrir por acaso numa pesquisa que fiz no youtube de musicas Israelenses e foi a música Havu Levenim com com pinturas de Donald Zolan ao fundo e cantado por Ofra Haza a primeira canção que ouvi, porém depois retiraram do youtube este vídeo devido aos direitos autorais entrento para minha dor ao continuar ouvindo mais Ofra Haza e pesquisando descobrir que ela morreu de Aids (tenho o vírus Hiv) e na época da morte dela, eu estava muito doente. The pain is the absence of the Divine Presence which for 2500 has not immanently dwelt in our midst in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Instead many of us have found new gods such as popularity and world public opinion to fill the massive void. For Ofra these gods were meaningless trifles. She yearned for the real thing.
