Excellent work, thank you for your test and review of the Arccaptain machine, which impressed and encouraged us a lot. I hope our welder helps your work. If you guys has any questions about the TIG200P, I will be here all the time.🙂

Great review. A review like this in the hands of a professional mean so much more than the reviews of random youtubers. Arccaptain was not on my radar till now. The portability of these machines is what I'm interested in. My current tig machine is a Miller 320A/BP which comes in between 800 and 900 lbs. My Miller Dialarc 250 amd Lincoln SP200 aren't exactly lightweights either. LOL I have a couple of Miller 130 migs that are kinda portable but their 10% duty cycle sucks.

Thanks for the video. I like that you tried to push the duty cycle. I'm hoping to buy the AC DC Tig 200 soon. I just got the Mig 200 to replace a broken 250a transformer mig. I punished the new 200 and never hit the duty cycle.

Just got a arccaptain MIG200 inverter Welder and I am curious why you need the TIG200 when you can use the MIG200 to tig weld with it. I think Its truly an Amazing machine. I have only done gasless mig and stick. From what I have seen I will need 2 types of gases 1 type for mig and another for tig is that right or can I get away with just one type. Could you let me know what gas you would use if you were me as I am only learning so its not a fulltime thing. Tks regards Andy Perth Australia
@OFW8 ай бұрын
The MiG 200 is not capable of AC. That is where the tig 200 comes in. AC tig is used for aluminum. Run 100% argon for tig and 75% argon 25% co2 for MiG.

Question. When truck mounting. Do you mount the welder on automotive motor mounts like number 2122 and 2123. To slightly reduce the bouncing.. if you are not aware of those. Ask at almost any parts store. One could use cab air bags or single bellows air bags to really cushion the ride for the welder

I do not. It’s not necessary.

@KevinK5516 Жыл бұрын
30 CFH argon flow seems really high for that cup size. Do you always run that high for aluminum or was that just due to the large shop fan running at the same time you were welding so you had to up your gas flow?

WHat are those dual pnuematic wheels you have on the blue tool cart in the back? I would love a set for my 5 drawer cart, i'm always hitting pebbles and stuff on the concrete and it's so jarring

I have only welded 3 times in my life. I could never see through the mask well enough to do anything useful - lol. How do you see through it to grind? Your skills are obvious, even to an ignorant viewer like me. Thanks for sharing your craft.
@OFW Жыл бұрын
The helmet has a grind mode where you can see out of it.
@rbelang8331 Жыл бұрын
I thaught you would have to grind the welds a bit... I guess it is different with aluminium. Could you tell me why exactly? I am not questioning your approach, since I know you are one of the best welder on YT.

I didn’t grind them because I wanted to test the cleaning action of the machine.

Do you run spool guns? I’m weak in the tights department. Mostly because I’m much more productive with a spool gun. So I don’t practice enough.

Well nothing better than a real world trial on an actual job to test a machine out . Few to many just do little test pieces and comment on those. Sounds like a good exchange fir the money . Surprised the box was only welded fully on the outside . Not even any stitch welds on the inside looks like the guy who built it can't weld inside anything ..
