He played well when on the court. Love how he pushes the ball sorta like Obi did and he finds the right spots to make open steals. But riight now as a fan I dont like the idea of payinng this guy all that money. Let him walk, we can find someone else to do what he does for 3/4 of the salary. We need cap flexibility and need to prioritize players who want to be a Knick and build for championships together. If he wants extra money than his agent should get him a sneaker deal or commercials to give him a side hustle. But again we the Knicks dont need this player at that price point. we gave Amari and Houston a 100 mill contract and didnt get anything out of it. Management crippled those teams by throwinng away money and not having draft capital. Leon and Co are doing all the right things. Draft capital is A++ Cap flexibility is top priority, 1 player should not break the bank when he has not been healthy enough to actual say hey man i deserve this. He may want it but he didnt earn it. I'll pass on OG if he wont realize actual worth vs fantasy worth. NYK first. Lets go Leon and Co you got this. We trust you.

40 m is alot considering the stat line. But not the eye test. I watched nearly every single game thus season start to finish. I didn't miss any since Jan. Sure his numbers don't pop out but the spacing he provides, his cutting is exactly what allowed brunson to become HIMMMMMM. His defense is great , the team is a real contender as is, gotta keep him

It could also send a message that team players who defend well, shoot efficiently, move well without the ball, and don't turn the ball over get rewarded. The Knicks will have to pay OG a ton because OTHER teams want him. His asking price is a reflection of the market. OG is looking at 40M deals...meanwhile Randle with all his individual accolades is iffy to get an extension on his 30M deal.
