i actually really like photon shield, if u watch back replays now you can find several times per game where it will randomly save a teammate with basically no input from you, especially for flankers and widows where it can just regen itself while theyre away from healing sources

This design wasn't bad, but the numbers were ABYSMAL. Like, girl, 25 fucking shields you lose after dying? We have to laugh. It could have been a passive you get just by having Sym in your team and scaled with your MAX HP, then they could have an ACTUAL ability there, for real...

her shield ability was bugged when the mode first released, now it regens passively and you have to reapply it after a teammate has died. Ive had games where ive got over 25K+ dmg mit after the bugfix. lmao

Unironically that 25 hp shield had potential when stacked by muliple syms on a genji or tracer. Also same principle with multiple shield generators. Really hit home how much 25-75 hp can impact a character in some situations. NOW THAt SAID it was still so fucking niche.

I always thought that Support Sym coming back was a meme, but playing with 1.0 again after so many years makes me realize she could maybe work in current day If the shields were slightly different. Give 50 that begin to decay after a few seconds, but are able to be reapplied continuously instead of one and done. Would let her psuedo-heal while close but prevent flankers from keeping the extra HP... And with the self-heal passive her lack of true, permanent healing would be less of an issue. Or maybe I'm absolutely delulu and Support Sym truly is just a meme 💀

My friends and I played this 6 sym mode, and those idiots put all their tp at the edge of the map, i took each tp 1 by 1, and died 5 times, until I found my TP which was hidden. It's so annoying and people can actually troll hard because you cant see where tp is until you take it

This sym was live for like 6 month the true deal is Sym 2.0 with 275 hp 6 turrets at start 7 meters beam 10 sec cd turrets + photon barrier on E she was SO FUN (and very op)

Lifeweaver is kinda like old sym, their projectiles do a ton of damage but it’s hard as hell to actually hit w them, and they both sucked at launch, maybe vishkar just doesn’t make good supports lol
