I got my first one, a loaded tan tien, last month and I love it! Exactly what I needed at this time right here :D I broke my ankle a couple years back so balance can be a struggle sometimes, especially being 6'3", but so far the longboard has been a LOT easier to learn than skateboards

Hey man, craving a lot of longboard dance x freestyle videos lately. And luckily enough I found your channel. I live in the South East of Asia and its really hard to find good budget set-ups considering its expensive to ship from the US. I have seen your Trucks Video about some knock offs Paris trucks and was surprised having you reviewed it, considering it just a truck that costs 10 bucks here. I will also buy the orangutan bushings along with it. Would love to see a thorough guide on bushings in the future. Thanks for video! Thanks to your previous video about pumping i finally learned how to do this thing. Actually it's not hard once you understand how it works. But I still make a lot of unnecessary movements and get tired quickly tho. My favorite setup for longboard and cruiser (top mount): Paris trucks: RKP and TKP Wedge front, deWedge back truck via angled riser (i always use button head hardware specifically for angled risers to prevent damaging deck) Front trucks with barrel/cone bushings with cupped washer for more rebound (i use otang knuckles) Back trucks with double barrel with flat washer. This setup carve like crazy while having a lot of stability.

Is the 70/30 weight rule just for pushing or should I try to maintain that while carving, etc? In general, do I keep my weight on the front foot while they are both perpendicular to the board?

I have no skateboard experience. 6’6” 285 and thinking about getting a longboard for cruising and a little winding and pumping on the local greenway. Would you recommend any drop/double-drop board made for bigger folks? Beercan boards pop up often in my searches. Do you have any experience with them or have other recommendations?

Question, do you need to loose your trucks first? Longboard trucks are tight to prevent speed wobbles right? And I put all my weight on one side just to turn slightly, do I have to loosen it to pump?

My trucks came very loose and I tightened them a bit because I was wobbling like crazy just to go straight while pushing. Unless you go really fast down hill I keep them loose enough to make a full turn with leaning on your toes and heels. But I'm a beginner not an expert.

question, while pumping are you getting the extra push from your knees or hips? when I carve my legs feel like they do an S motion but no rotation on my ankles.

Probably more from my quads and upper leg muscles, I kinda push down with those to generate force while I’m twisting side to side
