Ogryn Enforcer: Build Showcase (Auric Maelstrom I-II Mission) | Darktide Patch 14

In this build guide I discuss and showcase a ridiculously high damage build for the Ogryn class in Warhammer 40k: Darktide. We’re using the new and vastly improved Lorenz Mk 5 Kickback to unleash an astonishing level of destruction upon our enemies.
Darktide recently received Patch 14 which rebalanced a lot of talents and weapons. Any new, current, or returning players who want a viable build around one of these weapons, look no further!

This build is really fun, just running about deleting stuff with the shotty is so satisfying. I managed to get the frenzied killer achievement without even trying.

It's really fun! I love running the Kickback. Lately I've been running the new Mk XIX shovel instead of the Mk IV cleaver to deal with armor and monsters better, it feels really good.

The shotty became ridiculously OP since the last patch. (well, not only the psyker gets all the shweet bugs). but for the shotgun talent I recommend "Blaze away" (for moar power) and "Inspiring Barrage" (to replenish toughness as the vet does)

FatShart giveth and FatShart taketh away. Now us psykers’ surge bug is gone and replaced with a new one that forces it to only hit limbs instead. From a giant buff bug to a giant nerf bug.

@@mixmaster6827 The funny thing is that the surge staff was really strong with the bug, but not even as strong as the kickback which was more or less on purpose. Hopefully they fix the staff's new bug and then give it at least half of the damage back that it lost from the empowered bug. Otherwise it will just be the worst staff by a big margin.

@@my0866 Plasma Gun is S-tier for sure, but patch 14 Kickback was on another level. The nerfed patch 15 Kickback is probably on a similar level to the Plasma Gun now.

Patch 15 just dialed it back slightly but it's still incredibly strong.

It was very broken when I made this video, they did nerf it to where it is now which seems like a very healthy spot. Hopefully they leave it alone!

So from my testings and runs Blaze away 3 and surgical 3-4 are the best blessings to run on it. A crit (ADS) at 5-8 meters can one shot mutants on damnation. Blaze away synergizes with that perk that increases damage on reload so you can spam a few shells into a horde and really rack up the feeds

@@vgameface I use surgical for more “distant” targets but coupled with the high damage getting a guaranteed crit with a weapon that does like what 1600-1800 damage really makes a difference. But blaze away makes it incredible with spam while surgical gives it that reach and extra punch against either distant or more armored targets

@@puttize3022 Yeah I definitely spent a lot of plasteel looking for blessings 😅. I think Surgical/Blaze Away feels best right now but Full Bore, Terrifying Barrage, and Inspiring Barrage are all solid options as well.
