Bertie is described by Jeeves as having a "light, pleasant baritone" and is roped into singing "Sonny Boy" in "Jeeves and the Song of Songs." He takes up the banjolele in "Thank You, Jeeves", causing Jeeves to bolt. There are several other examples.
@andersonrearickiii63923 жыл бұрын
Actually Bertie becomes enamoured of the banjolele in "Thank You Jeeves" but he drives everyone crazy with it until Jeeves says they must part if he pursues his studies with "that instrument." As for Bertie and the piano, I think your correct and it is a great addition.

The actress who plays her obviously has a great ear, hence her ability to do a superb character voice. For someone who can do that, it doesn't surprise me that she's musical...both things come from the same place. And when you're doing a character voice for speaking, sometimes it's really difficult to carry it over to singing.

@@en1909s9iah I think it has to do with goal orientation - for example, people with Parkinsons' who have trouble walking can be aided with clear visual or auditory directions (even as simple as an 'x' on the ground to mark foot placement). He simply kicks ass in the roll performance and does things I never thought were possible on a piano (roll or no roll). A MIDI of this fantastic roll can be heard on Warren Trachtman's website, on the roll scans page. Hopefully, someone will post a video of this roll to KZbin soon.

Yes. Clever. Do you have an issue with my use of the word? I would say using a string of (once) common exclamations to imitate some exotic language certainly counts as clever. I never said there were NO good lyricists left, But lyrics have certainly taken a back seat in most genres since the 60's hit. It is painfully apparent that wordplay is no longer appreciated by most musicians as it once was. Possibly the last bastion of clever lyrics is hip hop - but these days even that seems middling.
