Thanks for your upload Dan, I don’t tend to find as many hammered coins as yourself, but I was lucky to find a full Alexander the 3rd penny, lovely coin. Good to see your trash finds as well, always puts the day in perspective. Take care mate, see you on the next!

Hi Dan, I've only just started out metal detecting with a friend and his mum. They gave me a Makro Racer (Red) and said I could sell it and put it towards a equinox 800 that his son has and been wanting to get rid of, I was just wondering where you would advertise it and how much it would be worth perhaps your friends shop do PX maybe? Towards a Nox 800?? Love watching you finding history, your videos are my go to when the house quietens down 😉👌

Another good watch👍🏻 any chance of sharing the app you use to help with identification, didn’t know there was 1 out there cheers happy hunting
@stevepooler4219Ай бұрын
Hi Dan, great content as always. Think you might find it's the Nox 900 on offer , the Manticore still £1799 according to the website 🤔
@DiggerDanMetalDetectingАй бұрын
@@stevepooler4219 apparently for some reason, they are not allowed to advertise it 🤷🏻♂️, but it's definitely the Manticore 😉
@kevinjohnston1988Ай бұрын
Hi Dan, definitely Alexander III cut half. I think it's a first issue. I'm not sure about the mint, though, and the piece you called a part of a purse bar, in fact, is a medieval casket key. Great video again 😞👍
@DiggerDanMetalDetectingАй бұрын
@kevinjohnston1988 thank you very much for the info mate, much appreciated 😊👍. I did find the casket Key on the PAS website, and its an early Medieval one, which was made from one piece of copper sheet and rolled and flattened into shape 🙌. Cleaver people

Alexander III married Henry III’s 11 yr old daughter in 1251, my landowner found this out as we found both coins in same hole on his field
@jackfischbach2560Ай бұрын
that bronze key looks like a Kasket key......mmmmmm
@DiggerDanMetalDetectingАй бұрын
@@jackfischbach2560 It is mate, I did a little research, and it appears to be an early Medieval casket key 👍

Great vid again....please tape some tape on that annoying pin pointer, I can hardly hear you speak :o)
@martinbennett3963Ай бұрын
I think the key could have been hung around the neck of a traveler as talisman to ward away evil spirits, and being near Halloween very fitting. The were known in medieval times as skeleton keys.
@DiggerDanMetalDetectingАй бұрын
I love that theory mate, thank you very much. Funny how we find these items from the past, and yet we will never know it's full story🙌
