I am so happy the Hall Anthem was composed during my time in the largest hall in West Africa with almost 500 rooms and about 3000 occupants. The hall the is just like a 5 Star Hotel. Thanks so much Lilly from a Ghanaian who has been working in Nigeria for the past 12 years. Now you have averted the eminent war. 😀😀😀

You are right , you are very observant, our peace really come from the school. I can remember in my first year we were three in a room , and l came from the upper east region and the other my course mate came from the greater Accra and he third person who was a second year mineral engineering student came from the Western Region and we co lived together and cooked from the same pot and eat together. No discrimination among us. We lived together as if we are born of the same mother. We have our differences but it does not divide us.

Katanga Hall (University Hall) and Conti Hall (Unity Hall) are arch rivals in KNUST. You are spot on; the Ghanaian Education system plays a massive role in the peace in Ghana as students from all parts of the regions of the country are allowed to coexist peacefully in school without any discrimination.

The peace and unity, if you heard the MC giving the profile of some of the cadets members , coming from one region, attending an SHS in another region and taking the first degree also a different area at least making one person learning from not less than four regions not forgotten those he has met from other regions too. You see the multiplier effect? It goes on and on

Ghanaian school system doesn't allow you to see who is rich or who is poor. Both SHS and UNI. WE'RE one all the time. So we dont have cliques, hence very low level of bullying among students. It just your books and fun.

The guy with the cane is Professor Owusu Addo. His wife was one of the 3 judges who were abducted and murdered by some members of the Rawlings regime. I am not suggesting Rawlings was involved, but it will always be a dark spot on the regime.
