I played WC3 back in the late 00's. I've been watching Grubby content for a few years, and I have been hesitant to pick the game back up because I assumed anyone who STILL played WC3 was going to be absolutely cracked. This series has actually inspired me to give it a shot

I don't know what uniqueness and shine he(the guy from the stream) is talking about, but watching one of the best, if not the best player, copying the strategies of players from lower leagues, improving them subsequently, constantly puts himself in a difficult situation and last but not least.. the communication between him and his viewers contributes immensely to being so watched and liked. Haters gonna hate.. always ... I dont even play the game... very basic knowledge about the game, but still ... i dont miss a video. Its not about the game..Keep up the great content brother.

yeah that's the point, if you can beat hard campaign, surely you have good ideas about how to play the game. I have no idea how it's supposed to be possible to beat the hard campaign btw, don't ask. (I've only done all those baseless missions, those are fun in hard mode)

@@neilu7132 How to beat basically every mission on Hard with little planning or optimized strategy. 1. Read and understand the map objectives with F9, look at map. 2. Get your eco up and running. Usually you can just chill, start upgrades, and not worry about moving units until the first attack wave. 3. Make the units that are designed to be good for the map (you usually start with some + their production structures). Use your spellcasters. 4. Get 1 control group with your hero(es) and units and do most map objectives at low upkeep (doesn't actually matter but might as well practice managing upkeep). 5. Make towers and another control group for defense, keep it at home while you're out on the map (if you don't have attack wave timings/triggers memorized) and bring it out to break the enemy base(s) (build siege damage in case of big bases). The only time you need to hard commit to a fight and actually micro kinda well is when breaking bases (to kill production quickly), otherwise you can abuse aggro and assist ranges to pretty easily kill everything with minimal losses.

@@neilu7132 ; campaign requires a different skill set than online. In campaign I'd just tower up and build max pop, max upgrades. Doesn't translate well to 1v1 imo.

@@neilu7132 You just need to setup a lot of towers to defend from attacks, stack on gold then build a 100 pop army upgraded for one attack, except on some missions that are harder and you need to attack more than once

Watching this series made me try out WC3 pvp again after like atleast 12 years of not playing it, did my placements (got matched into a few 4k elo players and got absolutely stomped), finished my placements 1/4 because one person instantly surrendered, and im now at 4,5k elo. I also appreciate about this Bronze League saga is that I finally get player color variety, this guys pick all the colors and you get eye popping yellow vs pink or something different like that. Nice to see all 4 races in different colors because Grubby prefers his blue / red color scheme that he is used to but for me the viewer I appreciate the colors. Bronze players have style.

Have you tried playing with so many colors for each players 😂. Its really confusing to check which one is enemy and which one is friendly, so its kinda understandable. But I get what you mean, i also like the color variations (if im not playing myself)

For me sc2 somehow easyer, i learned buildorders/strats vs races and rest is was micro + some improvisation and changes on later game. Ive got in to diamond league in 100 games, after watching Bruteforce strats from Alex007, without actualy playing 1v1 ever before, ive played only coop before that. At wc3 i should try 2 predict more things, like avoid enemy while lvling or try to creepjack it, atleast i feel it like that :D
