This is the Ukrainian tune I've been looking for : I didn't know its name ( nor its lyrics ); I just know its melody from hearing it at the start of a certain Ukrainian radio program for at least 45,46 years now. May peace come quickly & prevail.

Apparently the original you worked from was recorded in Detroit in 1975. What a trip! To think this was recorded there of all places! I was just wondering exactly WHERE it was recorded before I hit your recommendation in another comment/reply. I knew it couldn't have been recorded in the former Soviet Union. Small world.
