This was my signature scent for like 25 years. Started wearing it a few years before I met my wife. When we met, she loved it so I just kept wearing it. When I started collecting fragrances, my boys were like, 'But you wear Drakkar Noir!' 🤣

My neighbours dad used to rock this. First smelt it 27 or 28 years ago. Have always liked it. Has a strong, masculine character to it.

That’s weird. For my experience, it gets better as it dries down. That’s what I really like about that fragrance. It’s a real classic! I’m just 34 years old and I first used this when I was 16 and it has been my favorite!

I had a bottle of this in HS in the 90s but stayed with the Cool Water OG instead and the only one I bought backup bottles. Now, I'm still using Aspen as my errands scent to get the OG CW scent which has been reformulated countless times already. I can go full on Curlyfragrance on Aspen all I want because it's super affordable and still not offend anyone. 😊

The current formula is “ok”, but the original was a beast! It was my signature scent in the 80s. There were many clones too, even back then! (Lomani pour Homme, Caesar’s Man etc)

Yikes! Drakkar Noir is an amazing 10/10! I think a lot of reviewers trying it for the first time come at it with an implicit bias they are completely unaware of. If this were in a PDM bottle, everyone would be raving about it. And for what it’s worth, I’ve seen a few terrible smelling fakes at mall perfume store. I don’t think DN has any fresh shower gel scent.

I much prefer Al Rehab Dakar to my fairly current formulation of Drakkar Noir. It makes me feel good on the right day and that's ok because I paid for it but that's not for everyone.

Honestly, I recommend Chypre Siam by Rogue Perfumery, that one has all natural oakmoss and projects well. Current Drakkar Noir smells like shaving foam to me. I also have the roll on perfume Dakar by al-Rehab which is OK but nothing fancy.

drakkair starts as a shower gel but quickly becomes a white bar of soap. i actually like it when i want something nice without wanting to stand out. anyone over 27 can wear this. i you could mix gillet shaving foam with dove soap you get this smell.

@@Chopper140you guys should. lol… it’s dullard thinking to call it - or anything else: old/young/cheap etc…. It’s all in people’s stereotypes and history. It’s just a scent and it’s good or bad subjectivity - all the other stuff is emotional bias we bring to it. KZbin influencers aren’t bright enough to even recognize that fact lol. So if you like it - go for it. Make it whatever you want it to be. If it came out now instead of the 80’s everyone would associate it with 2024 and young people lol.

This was one of the nices colognes in the 90s the formula they used back then was a very fresh kinda soapy spicy smell that everyone loved not over powering girls would come up to use smell us ask what we were wearing young guys to middle are wore it older guys do now because it what they loved in younger days but the formula is abit different now

Drakkar Noir Intense is updated for modern tastes and a better scent profile. Allegedly. For everybody else nostalgic, get Hai Karate!

Its not Drakkar Noir Intense. Its Drakkar Intense, its based on the original Drakkar, not the Noir. Drakkar Noir is a different fragrance. I got both, and Intense is different while still familiar. But the biggest difference is performance. DN is very short lived, while DI lasts 9-12hrs on skin/clothes. DN has better projection during that shorter life though.

Cause if you want the old 1990 $30-40 drakkar noir quality. That is now gonna cost about $100+. That's where that quality level sits at today. Reformulations because of regulations is no excuse for Drakkar Noir. Sure it can't be replicated without the oakmoss. People got the member berries on this one. Remember Drakkar Noir clones? I do. And this stuff now smells like that stuff.

It's definitely like deodorant now. They have totally make a mockery of a one-time powerful 80s fragrance. I bought a new bottle over a year ago and I immediately tucked it in the back of my collection when I smelled it and I'm one of those 65 year old dudes. I can't wear it any longer.

A few weeks ago I got Drakkar Noir 200ML. The bottle in person seems even bigger and I got Drakkar Intense 100ML. The Intense is literally 100 x better the scent is addictive. This stuff was way way stronger 25-40 years ago. My bottle is weak but nothing about this is shower gel right off the bat though it smells like green notes and musk. Women don't like pine or musk but a 2/10 rating is insane. Chick's always blaspheme classics because they only like garbage blue fragrances.
