Same here. They seem to actually have tried to do the original justice. Other versions were a hasty platform port. I'm still bothered by some of the censorship still in the game.

Here’s the thing I love about this. Celes doesn’t have the best voice. Compared to the other two opera singers she doesn’t compare. AND IT MAKES SENSE.

@@V-Jes The problem is that unlike Tidus's laugh, this is just good enough that it could be plausibly interpreted as just a matter of bad acting/casting rather than intentional. I'm pretty sure they confirmed it was intentional but I can understand how someone might think otherwise.

Well in the Italian and German version she actually has a good voice. Her bad voice wasn't intentional, they just couldn't find an English voice that could sing opera

I always thought it was a horrible plot hole that they would get someone with no significant singing experience to impersonate an opera singer just because she happened to look like her. Everyone would have known it wasn't Maria just by listening.

Though the lines are different from the SNES version, the delivery of the entire opera gave me goosebumps. Hats off to the remaster team

i was surprised they use graphic that's look like HD-2D for the opera part. even recreated the castle in 3D for Maria's singing part (4:11) you can see how different the stage during opera scene and right before ultros battle. Since Square Enix said they want to create and remake more games with this style , i feel they should remake I until VI with this instead of pixel remaster.

For whom said her opera is sucks/not real opera lmao, I don't think you guys know the context of this part, Celes isn't an opera singer, she just impersonating as ones. This is just their plan to get someone's attention, so they can get into enemy's HQ. For a non opera singer she is really good. I love this Pixel Remaster team's effort despite the cheap price.
