Cracking video Tim on a topic that many will go through at some stage in their koi hobbying journey. Space is precious so most ponds get filled ....but surely there must be some novel ideas to make use of 4-6 foot hole in the ground

Such a shame for the old pond, but he’s got to move on with his future and will no doubt be for the better…..🤞🏼 Look forward to following the new pond build…..👍🏼

Great advice Tim , I put a Easy Living 2414 wooden octagonal pond in my garden as I’m renting while my other house is being sold , concrete and block when I buy our new house . And keep loads of fancy goldfish in the 12 foot by foot octagonal wooden one

Definitely the correct decision, what a location!

A shame as a quality pond. Just imagine being into fish and viewing a house with a pond like that already in place. Only downside to it all is new owners dont want it and despite cost / waste involved location swap is 100% worth it so fair play to the family involved.

A shame to a degree, but the potential of the new place is huge. Even with a large, natural style outdoor pond, there's still plenty of space for a bigger, covered/indoor koi pond for the special fish or even growing on some fry. Lots of opportunities with a property like that.

It's certainly not a good day when you empty your pond. I moved to Australia from the UK in 2007 and the new owner of my property didn't want the pond. So all koi were sold and pond left empty. Heart wrenching day.

Not that sad then. Nobody died. His business is doing well by the sounds of it. I'm sure this pond will be even better. Happy days

What a shame but are the new owners of the old house keeping the pond?

I'm already looking for a property with a stream fed pond/loch for when i retire in 10 years. I'd happily put a static caravan on it to live in.

Customer sounds like one of those can’t sit still types, restless chasing the money tree, why is pond been removed can’t it be sold with the property?
@TimWaddington Жыл бұрын
He’s not at all, just circumstances change. He took an opportunity for him and his family. The people buying that house don’t want a pond.

@@TimWaddington yes Tim it's no reflection on you just barmy that you build the pond of a life time to then destroy it it's his life and his money he can spend it how he wants but I still think it's madness 🤣🤣
