JEEZ!! How does he get that bass to sound like that?? thats a very recognizable bass texture. Its def Madlib's signature inna way.. Im wondering if its just that pure SP 1200 grittiness but even if you go back to the heavy 1200 hiphop music to compare, the sonic qualities just dont match up I guess this is why Madlib is king..

This is some intoxicating groove. One of my top ten favorite instrumental beats on vinyl. We all know Nas - Poison and R.S. - Still Ray, but what is the background vocal that first appears at :37 in (na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na... na, na, na, na, na, na). That vocal might be tied to the original source of this beat, if it isn't created from scratch. Not looking to make my own lame cut just love hearing the original source as much as the re-work. Kudos to Oh No/Madlib.
