I am so happy for your positive outcomes regarding your amazing treasured van AND thank you for posting the scenario for us to be inspired and remain hopeful and optimistic when similar events occur in our lives. Hey brother I know your pain with the compressor issue. I have Carshield for this reason, but even though I have the top tier plan they still won't pay for the full replacement for my A/C components. I am glad your van is up and running. The Fortress of Solitude will carry on. Be safe my friend and Adventure on!!

Whew that was close. Glad you got it sorted out. My mechanics are at an auto wreckers. It's an hour drive away since I moved but still worth it to go. CAA Plus is the way to go. I have wondered if I should get the Premier plan because I'm further away when camping. It gives you 1 tow of 320km and 4 tows of 200km. It would be better if it was 350km lol I'm going to Killarney Provincial Park next week and it's 338 from there to my mechanic's. Not that I expect problems. Just nice to know I'm covered if one should arise. If anything happened he would probably come and tow me the 18kms to the shop lol they treat me really well. I'm truly blessed to know them. I got lucky! Having a CAA plus would be the way to go. Towing a van to can get very expensive.

I've had CAA plus for at least 35 years. Saved me a bundle. I've always bought used vehicles and had long drives to work etc. They even came a fifth time once lol When they told me I had no tows left, I was like, "But, I'm your best customer. You have to send someone. I've been with you guys for over 25 years and used every single tow. " 😅😂🤣 The guy started laughing his guts out, put me on hold, and they sent a truck 🤣🤣🤣

Can they delete the ac compressor since you have the 12 volt one? Glad it worked out tho

I ended up replacing it with a used one. It worked good and was affordable.
