Man I am currently 80% thru hate reading Fourth Wing and I cannot imagine ever reading another book by this author. It feels like a 12 year old wrote it. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because it seems like I'm the only person in my circle who thinks this book is awful.

The marketing some of these books have received is why I think they’re so successful. TikTok has exposed a lot of people to them, with many of them not being jaded by reoccurring tropes & basic plots (in my opinion). I wish I could have enjoyed it like so many others have, but that’s why books are great. There are so many others for me to enjoy & not everyone has the same tastes.

This seems to be her standard production rate. When I looked into her past works (after hearing about Fourth Wing) I found she has an EXTENSIVE romance catalogue. She’s written a lot of books so far. Though they all kinda look like the same book with different covers and settings, so maybe she just has a Word template that she changes the names and locations on? 😂

@@Junior6288 After watching Marines’ latest Red Tower video, it makes more sense. It’s just even the most prolific romance authors put out 1 book per year, 2 at most, wherein the 2nd book is usually a holiday novella with a lower page count. 3 books per year is insane, and they are all 500-600 pages each. But given the lack of editing and development described in Marines’ video, I guess it’s possible, if one were to excuse the lower quality product.
