Hi Ursula! These pests are so disrespectful. I had 3 raccoons that tore up my crop cage. I have been in this house for almost 8 years and have never seen a raccoon in my neighborhood. 😢 I feel you, Ursula. I'm not in the greatest mood this morning either. You try and have a good day! Hey Elwanda, yes, they are very disrespectful. Sorry to hear they tore up your crop cage, that is horrible to hear. I think raccoons and other animals are being ran into neighborhoods as trees and forest are being cut down. I hope your day got better, mines did. I had to pray for serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Have a wonderful weekend.

One of the good things about our cold is less caterpillars 🐛 but the wet now means the slugs are awake. I found a huge one like that in my grass yesterday but luckily no where near my veg beds. Have a marvellous day Ms Ursula your garden looks fab, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦

Hey Ali, thanks. Your right, the cold will help but the rain will bring out another pest...We are constantly fighting something off our food. That huge one was probley on his way to your garden, luckly you got him before he got there. Have a great weekend.

It will be educational to see if the one with no leaves survives. Leave it in for a couple of weeks to see if new leaves develop. We all want to know. And Thank You for showing us how to check the mulch. 💙

Hey @khornsbyone, yep, he met his maker that day...Vine bores are the worst for sure, they took out my squash as well. I know they need to eat too but our gardens are off limits, find something else to eat. I know it can be discouraging and disheartening but don't give up, we have to stay vigilant and try to catch them before they do their damage. Have a great weekend.
