Henk-Jan, Yes even subconsiously, the sounds and "feel" of the boat and engines are with us. I can remember many times when I could feel the change of an engine or piece of equipment - even while asleep. It would wake me up and I was down, in the engineroom before the watch standers could even make a call requesting help. It's not a bad thing and will never go away. Fortunately many times were "false alarms", but it's still nice to hear or feel the changes, which keep you aware - especially since you are single handing your vessel. Good luck and happy sailing.

Yes, when I am at anchor, I wake up because of a different rythme of the waves. The moment I do not recognize it, I am peeking through the porthole or I even go up to see in the wheelhouse. Until now, false alarm. But after checking I always sleep in a couple of minutes again.

Hoi Henk, Dat was weer een gezellige show vanuit Smogen op de terug weg naar Gotenborg dus zo langzamerhand weer terug naar ons kikkerlandje en gezellig varen met 2 boten die richting op dat ziet er mooi uit zeker omdat we de Lady Liselot eens van een andere kant zien gefimd worden grappig Was weer gezellig tot volgende week

Henk Jan you must have had your video music on while driving. That probably gave you the false impression that something could be wrong with your engine!😂 It throw me off while watching! Sounded like a broken valve!😂😂😂

En als ik het coffee moment een keer niet in de video opneem, zijn er wel een aantal mensen die zich afvragen of het wel goed met me gaat... We houden van tradities, en dit is er een om in ere te houden. Met een mergpijp natuurlijk.

Hoi H.J Heb je geen Camera ,s op je motoren zie je tegen wordig veel bij de grotere jachten en motoren inspekteren voor je vertrek behoudenvaart verder groetjes uit Alphen aan den rijn 🚣🚣‍♂🚣‍♀

Een rondje machinekamer vóór vertrek is standaard vanaf het moment dat ik haar kocht. Je zult het in veel video's terug horen komen. Tijdens het varen loop ik ook nog vaak even naar beneden en ja, ook de camera staat op de motoren gericht. Ik ben nog wel op zoek naar een uitvinder die iets van röntgenogen kan maken, zodat ik ook intern in de motoren kan kijken.
