If you want a good lesson in tension building in scenes. This episode is the spot. They have PERFECTLY built up Nowak’s character to be absolutely terrifying. And they use that to their advantage with every scene he’s a part of using ominous sound tracks and pauses in dialogue. Which contrasts his outwardly friendly seeming demeanor. This show is peak.

"地（earth）" in the letter left by Rafał, "知（intelligence, knowledge）" said by Badeni, and , "血（blood）" said by Novak - these three Japanese Kanjis are pronounced "chi." The original Japanese title "チ" is a character that shows the pronunciation of "chi," making it a triple meaning.

Nowak’s “chi” is actually literally translated to “blood”, but in the context of the conversation, what Nowak suggests is that people need to shed blood to preserve the order of the world. So “terror” is a decent approximation, but I thought I’d add these notes to explain the missing nuance. I don’t have high hopes for Badeni’s survival, given how they explicitly show him deciding to stop writing a letter thinking “I can do it later”. What could be interesting is if Badeni decides to entrust the theory to Oczy and Jolenta, both of whom have higher chances of surviving an encounter against Nowak. We still have yet to learn what Oczy wrote after all, plus Badeni was scheming something with the beggars with regards to Oczy.

Nah，I dont think Badeni or Oczy could survive. Oczy was captured and tortured for maybe one week? It was shown in the first episode ,Oczy was tortured by Nowak.
