Oh No, This Hunter Exotic BROKE Trials... (Now It's Back!)
Renewal Grasps ran rampant during Trials' Stasis meta with ridiculous resistence that would turn any Hunter into a undefeatable tank - Bugie deservedly nerfed the Exotic into the ground and it was quickly unequipped by nearly all players. However in Season 22, Bungie have revoked a large amount of those nerfs to make a serious meta contender once again... let's just hope it isn't as broken this time. Enjoy!

@hysterheister0947 if gjake is running bomber mods on his class item, higher dodge uptime means higher nade uptime. having a dodge on demand more frequently means being able to escape from bad situations more often. More dodge is just better in all scenarios

IMO it is way safer to get class energy back by shooting shards than enemies, just more consistent in a situation like trials, but to each their own, I can see your point is also very viable, just depends on the players

You can also use the fragment that when you collect a shard you get an over shield. shards will also heal you if you are low

@@Zero-rj6re resilience in pvp isnt that important it only increases HP by a small amount. granted it can help you on certain interactions and make people have hit more headshots but overall not super important. You just need about 2 or 3 that way you can make HC have to hit 3 headshots and adaptive pulses wont 2 burst. Also because stats on armor are split into 2 pools its really hard to get 3 100s on mobil, resil, and recov. Because of this on hunters you choose what is most important and that is recovery and mobility. Titans need to for the class ability cooldown so you go to 100 and warlocks mobility is a bad stat so you will put more into resil.

I never usually used stasis I tried this build out with the shayuras and with the no survivors smg with rangefinder and target lock I prefer the no survivors over shayuras but it’s hard to tell when there’s so much ice going off 😂

I just tried them in private and they are bugged. The damage reduction only applies if you are inside the field (and it's small damage reduction), but does not when the enemy is inside, don't know why, but this pretty much makes them useless.

Makes sense because bungie finally reverted the nerf to grenade regen when running renewal. It used to add a flat 1 minute to your cooldown now it’s back to normal as it should be. He’s not using it bc the grenade gives dr like with weavewalk. He’s using it bc he enjoys the subclass and the map control you get on stasis.

The damage resistance in PvP is significantly reduced. I don't remember what the numbers were but times two resist is only like 2, maybe 3% so while I LOVE this gauntlets, they are not giving as much DR as Jake is saying at times. Just a heads up for all those that see this going forward

Without fragments they give 5% at base + a 20% decrease if they're inside. So with fragments the most you can get is roughly 32% damage reduction. Still super strong.

Yall PVP players hype up EVERYTHING. This exotic barely helps after the changed to DR (which is a good thing) Jake is not providing the correct damage resist numbers. At most you are getting like maybe 10% DR from the gauntlets. Do not let the top tier trials player who can stomp anyone with any loadout fool you into thinking this is meth, because its not. Not even close.
