Not only is the songs name written like a sonic zone, this stage just REEKS with sonic. (and mario) [and tmnt].
Certainly one of the most memorable stages simply because nobody saw that title card coming. I tried to capture the vibe of the original with this remix, didn't want to stray too far :).
Also this is totally pizza towers version of toxic caves, I mean it had a scrapped individual escape theme named toxic rave. You can't convince me otherwise.
