Everytime I hear this song I weep for little Yael and her family.
@justinrecio86094 жыл бұрын
Intro] Hush Yael I hear them coming We'll hide here 'til we're safe Just hold tight to me Until they find what they need Hush little Yael I hear them leavin' for the beach Where on the stone and sand Your sister finds her sleep Wet your jaws for the world We're going back to the darkest hours Where our kind has confirmed We are the masters of sin and slaughter [Verse 1] On the 22nd day of the 4th month, 1979 warrants a judgment Cause he came, and he saw And this coward conquered a family asleep in their home Rise, rise We must rise for the helpless and fight for their justice [Chorus] So lift your voices high Higher than the mountains of their spite! We are We are the fearless, the ruthless The heralds of our time So lift your voices high Higher than the mountains of their spite! We are We are the fearless, the ruthless The heroes of our time [Verse 2] She had to watch Him pull the trigger in her daddy's back Put his face to the waves 'til he took his last Then he took her life with the butt of a gun Four years from when her life had begun Rise, rise, rise, rise We're all weavers at the loom of slaughter But we will rise and make these victims our martyrs [Chorus] So lift your voices high Higher than the mountains of their spite! We are We are the fearless, the ruthless The heralds of our time So lift your voices high Higher than the mountains of their spite! We are We are the fearless, the ruthless The heroes of our time [Post-Chorus] Make him beg for his life! [Breakdown] Make him beg for his life He made me watch as my family died He'll never know what its like So cut him slow 'til his soul takes flight Interlude] Hush Yael They found him and they put him in chains The one who broke our home Is finally feelin' pain Hush little Yael I'm sorry your lungs are empty But in your new home That man will not be seen [Outro] End him slow End him slow! Make him feel the rocks that her temple rode End him slow

Samir Kuntar, the one who led the terrorist attack in 1979 which the song is about, was killed today at last by the Israel air force "A Lebanese Druze, Kuntar became infamous for a brutal 1979 raid from Lebanon in which he helped kidnap an Israeli family from Nahariya, then smashed the head of a four-year-old Israeli girl, Einat Haran, with his rifle butt, killing her. Three other Israelis, including her father, Danny Haran, were killed in the attack. Kuntar was 16 at the time, a member of the Palestine Liberation Front."

Hahahaha, that's laughable Mumin. "Israel propaganda". The fact that they even tried to take hostages was ridiculous; the Israeli people have done nothing but offer peace and humanitarian aid to the so-called "Palestinian" people, and they've offered an olive branch to their other enemies, but peace is NOT the goal of organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the similar terrorist organizations attacking Israel. They only want to see Israel destroyed and their people claim the land, when it was never once theirs to claim. Here's a message to all the enemies of Israel: no matter how hard you try to destroy God's chosen nation, you have failed before you even begin. Even if Samir Kuntar's cause was just, does it really justify the kidnapping and intentional murder of innocent civilians who did absolutely NOTHING against him? As Micah says in this song, "Because he came, and he saw, and that coward conquered a family asleep in their home!" I am a Christian, I believe in forgiveness of your enemies, because I believe God will deal justice and vengeance one day; Kuntar's day of reckoning had arrived.
@jakobfel28 жыл бұрын
Mumin Sassantiwong "Mr. Brainwash" coming from someone who is supporting the "Palestinian" cause. One look at the facts shows that Hamas are using innocent civilians as human shields to make Israel look bad in the eyes of the world. That's simple truth and the only thing that should be necessary to realize that the Israeli people are not the enemies.
@jakobfel28 жыл бұрын
Mumin Sassantiwong God promised Israel to the Jewish people. They were cast out wrongfully by states that didn't have the authority to do so, but God allowed it. He also promised they would one day return. Israel has never once rightfully belonged to the "Palestinian" people.
@jakobfel28 жыл бұрын
Mumin Sassantiwong Putting words into my mouth, eh? God promised the land of Israel to the Jewish people in the Bible. They were exiled twice, and now they're there to stay. There was no invasion, no massacre of the "Palestinian" people.

This song will always remain one of my favorites.. the fact that they used their voices to try to bring justice and attention to the devastation that this family endured like so many others. It cuts deep into my soul every time I hear it and makes me feel something that doesn't happen much with music these days. I will be eternally grateful for this song. It not only helps me to realize that even though I have gone through hell I am so blessed to have the life I do - I am free - I am alive - I can use my voice without fear and have the liberties to do whatever I want, say whatever I want, love whatever I want.. this song brings me back to reality when I get stuck in my personal grief and gives me purpose. We must be the voices for those who have been silenced! For so many in the past, present and the future - for Yael and his family. Thank you for this masterpiece of a song!
