Yes, those little girls are representing their younger selves. They are wearing what TW wore on their 2015 Ellen DeGeneres appearance. I see the entity as all the haters along the way, "Shut Up" carved in the wall, "U Can't " on fire. The smashed bass is a Mustang, the kind that Ale played back in the day. All of the instruments are chained, supposedly anchoring their future selves in the past, they went back to encourage their younger selves. The song itself they have said it is about dealing with someone with a God complex. Track #1 on the new album, Keep Me Fed. 7th single, music video dropped with the album in June. Good live version on yt from Wacken 2024. Check out the song "Show Them" by Band Maid with The Warning, just released last month. Band Maid are a Japanese rock band of 5 women.

Thanks for the reaction. Great analysis. The song is mainly about people with God Complex and telling others what they can or cannot do. The youngers girls represent Dany, Pau and Ale when they were younger and being told by many to Shut Up and to drop their dream as it would never materialize. Deep song. Cheers!

You nailed it again! This is the fourth song by The Warning dealing with this topic. Fade away, Narcisista, Animosity and now Six feet deep. Every one of them are building up to this one where they close the book on the haters and send them down and packing. Dany has said that they also are not children any more, they are grown up now.

It is getting to the point that one cannot analyze The Warning videos without fully understand their history. They put so many nuggets and Easter eggs in for their fans. In this one, al of the “younger” girls were in the outfits from their performance on the Ellen show. I’m sure there were 4 other things that I missed as well.

Thanks for your analysis, always enjoy watching someones take on The Warning ambiguity. It's definitely about dealing with the critcism but since these ladies always had the confidence needed to succeed my take is that the younger sisters projected/summoned their older, accomplished versions of themselves to deal with the negativity. I think that's why the current sisters vanish and leave their instruments (have you noticed that chains are holding the equipment down?) for them to pick up and continue doing what they love. BTW they've dropped four new video's from the Pepsi Center show lately and all are awesome!

Cool reaction! You got it right with two of your theories. The video is definitely a punch in the face of their critics, who talked trash about the band and did other things that could have caused them to lose faith and pursue their dream of being rock stars. The band’s politically correct explanation is that it’s about people with God complexes. Checks out.

I had tears in my eyes, listening to it 1st time, right now. Tears of joy! I think we're in for a top hit, here! The white guitar we saw in the room at the end must actually be the one that Lzzy Hale gifted to Dany, when they where on tour together. Still recall that citation from Lzzy: "We where all standing and listening, backstage. And I turned to them and said: "Boys: we need to practise!" " As I lately stated, when you reacted on Led Zeppelin: this diversity they provide with every new song, even on one single album...That is, what made all the legendary bands great, some 50years ago. TW do have this, for sure. Gruß aus Tangstedt!

They are writing some songs with other writers on the new album. And they themselves said its been good for them. Taking the music in a new direction. And it show's. The new album is the heaviest so far And the production is big & sounds amazing. A little darker in places. Love it. Incredibly band with a great team behind them that really care about them.

My interpretation of the video is that the evil poltergeist represents all the naysayers when they were younger, telling them that they were wasting their time and would never amount to anything as a rock band. The ghosts of the future band return to put the evil entity in its place (6 feet deep). According to Pau the song lyrics refer to someone with a God complex that you feel needs to be knocked off their pedestal. Excellent reaction and discussion of possible meanings! 😎👍

Yup, right on all counts. The SONG, the band said, is about dealing with someone with a “god complex” ie gods gift to women (or music journalism? politics? business? Anything really). The VIDEO is a parallel theme of dealing with the “haters” or naysayers or, as you noted, the self doubts & fears. Anyone or anything that thinks they know better/ doubts what you’re truly capable of.

The Villarreal sisters were raised bi-lingual and found it easier to write songs in English, which also happened to be beneficial after 'Enter Sandman' went viral and their invite to 'The Ellen Show'.

I see the events happening to the younger versions of the girls as manifestations of moments of self-doubt that we know had to occur at various points in their lives due to the constant criticism they received at such a young age. I mean, DPA appear to possess a hard-earned and well deserved confidence in themselves now, but do any of us believe they never had moments growing up where they said, “What if we don’t have what it takes”? It seems like a silly notion now, but young kids are often prone to that type of waning self confidence in the wake of a barrage of negativity. If not for their core support group, the musical landscape may have turned out very different. This song and this music video are basically a big middle finger to all the people who ever made them feel less than enough. And the last image of them as disembodied ghosts just reinforces the overall theme, which is, “We were haunted as kids by your negativity and naysaying. Now it’s your turn to be haunted by our success.”

If you like the Warning and I love them as they are helping to keep Rock alive in this century, try the band that inspired them, Lzzy Hale and Halestorm. The best band of the 21st century and it is not even close, all these great female led bands that have emerged in the last 10 years are because of the stir Lazy caused when they exploded on the scene in 2009. Try their video for Mayhem, you think the Warning is hard, you ain't heard nothing yet. Hard or soft, Lazy is the best, give her and this magnificent band a chance. Halestorm is the real deal, Rock On!!!

By far the best band in this century for me and Lzzy is the best front person since Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. They have 5 awesome studio albums and are one of the best live bands I have ever seen and I have seen many 100s of concerts since 1971. Try Freak Like Me studio original and also check out their live fury in Live at Wembly. This band will blow your mind, the Warning is damn good but Halestorm is better and are absolutely great! @steveboguslawski1144 ай бұрын
Presuming this song is about someone with a god complex, what god are we referencing? It wouldn't be God, and it wouldn't be about questioning religion at all. It is about someone who presumes to play god. I think we all would recognize the type, though we might recognize different characteristics. I see a self-professed know-it-all who believes they should be in charge of everything, critical of others and condescending towards them, judging them. I mostly see positive comments about The Warning, and I'm here watching and commenting to a reaction channel with others who are fans of the band (mostly). But I do occasionally read critical comments, and I have no doubt that there are some haters out there. Perhaps this song is referencing not some keyboard warrior but someone who they actually know. I get the vibe that this is personal, much like Narcisista. Except the message here is perhaps a bit darker, as in "We will bury you". Yet burial has alternate meanings and implications, and we know that The Warning does slip double meanings into their lyrics. One that I find attractive ties in with survival, since survivors are those who bury the dead. Survival has been a theme with The Warning.

Ren and now The Warning back to the best. So many Easter eggs in this, to many to list, but the biggest is the younger versions of them the day they were on the Ellen Show. The song and video are not actually connected just like Qué Más Quieres. They have so many creative ideas they have to get multiple out in each video I guess. Lol They said the song is about someone with a God complex, but not someone specifically, just in general. Everyone knows someone like that. The video is their present selves going back to help their younger selves to get trap all the doubt and hate. Could be internal or external or both.
