The emperor turned into a little child when he really started care for the empress. The love he never received from his mother; he seeked from Sunny. Even if it's not probably the best setting, it still was kinda heart throbbing. How alone he was and how wrong he was raised, and the bad things he did; I don't accept them, but I see where it's all coming from. if only he had met his warm yet strong empress earlier.

I don't think I'll ever finish this drama because I've spoiled it for myself but PHEW I usually detest abusive alpha male tropes but Seung Rok as Lee Hyuk is an exception! He's so sinister and sexy, overall an extremely nuanced and complex character. It's all thanks to Seung Rok for bringing his character alive, and his aesthetics particularly are superior. Fashion on point, hair on point, those smoldering eyes and baritone voice - so addicting. Lee Hyuk is an incredible anti hero and goes down as one of the best in kdrama history.

In the last episode we can see that she also loved him until the end, even if he was a jerk sometimes. a sad and wrong love story.

I never understood why fellow Marvel fans loved Loki. I’m like, he was a bad guy and didn’t deserve redemption or anything. Plus he’s too tall and skinny. Then I saw Lee Hyeok. He was a nasty, evil man. But at the same time he was hilarious, cute, and kinda stupid. I understood that he had a messed up family. Lee Hyeok is my Loki.

It’s been days since I finished watching this drama and until now i still can’t get over the fact that he died in the last episode. I’ve been crying the whole night feeling bad for him. Even though he has done awful things, I can’t seem to hate him 😢I can’t imagine another actor playing Lee Hyeok’s character other than shin sung rok. He’s perfect for the role

Omg same because of this drama he became one of my favourite actors now. I’ve watched some of his villain roles in the past and I can see how he perfectly portrayed his characters in every drama he is in especially in the last empress, you can’t decide wether to hate or love his character. At some point you find yourself hating him because of the cruel things he had done but you ended up loving him instead because of the emotions he portrayed and that makes the viewers pity his character

nina3235 the emperor is the second lead. The summary for the drama is vague but everyone knows that they won’t be together in the end. I SHIP THEM SO MUCH THO. The emperor and the empress have so much more chemistry, history etc. Idk when wonbin started liking sunny but it seemed like it developed from pitying her and then helping her.
