The headless zombie thing is a glitch. Some of them even turn into headless NPC's from the average game. As far as I know, there isn't a permanent fix. Only brief ones. If you try saving towns or clearing cemeteries with headless people/zombies, it'll be never ending. Best thing to do is save right after clearing each town/cemetery that way if the game has the glitch, you reload the game. It's a bit of a pain, but that's really the only way around it.

Nah, we know John loved Uncle like family. He may kick and yell at the lazy bastard, but he was still family. The only reason he shot him was because he was angry and confused because he hurt Abigail, once he noticed that the rest of his family acted the same way after Uncle bit them he figured it was a sickness of some kind. By then it was too late to even think about helping Uncle but it wasn't too late for Abigail and Jack, so he focused on fixing this instead of even entertaining the thought of letting emotions get the better of him.

There is a pretty annoying glitch called "headless zombies" which was discovered after Rockstar had updated the game a few years ago. Since they won't fix that anymore, the only thing you can do to prevent this from happening is to save and reload the game every 30 minutes. I know this sounds pretty dumb but it is the only thing that helps 🤗 Now for that horse: You have to hitch it at your safehouse (which makes it your permanent horse) otherwise it will disappear when you whistle for it again

cheatox Theres no glitches on last gen so long as you don't download the last patch that messed it up. Sadly the next gen versions have the patch built in, so you cant remove it

Something cool to note about in the base game: Rufus died after John and before Abigail, but you can still hear him barking with a slight distortion when playing as Jack on the ranch at night. It's pretty creepy. I don't know if it happens in Undead Nightmare though.

It might be Jack having vivid memories of John, Abigail, and Rufus. The ranch brings back too many painful memories for him, so I’m sure that’s why it’s there, although the logical answer is a bug that never got fixed.

Been waiting for this! It's like a victory lap for RDR fans. Since it contradicts some things from the original game, my theory is that John fell asleep while listening to Jack talk about the book. And everything after that is, literally, an undead nightmare. Also why they forgot about dinner!

I´ve jumped from the couch, when I saw your video recommendation. Thank you. John´s character is really good here. His sense of humor, his comebacks, sarcastic remarks. Even better, than in the main game. Also the fact, that you can play this without even having the main game (physical copies of the DLC only) says a lot about this DLC. When a town is under attack the green dots are ammo chests and the blue dots are survivors, giving ammo to all the survivors will actually make saving the town much faster and because you won't have to kill nearly as many zombies you save ammo

The glitch only happens if you play the 360 "The Complete Edition" or whatever the name is on a newer console. If you play the RDR1 + Digital Undead Nightmare DLC then it should be just fine.

Be prepared for the terror of bugs and glitches. Lots of bugs and glitches, it’s infested. Yes not being able to break War was a glitch. The only way I know to fix things like no heads is to reload the game so save often especially after every cemetery or when see things acting oddly.

The headless zombie glitch. If you encounter it, quit the game and reload your last save game. Once it's engaged, you can't clear towns, you can't tame the mythical horses, and you can't clear graveyards. A zombie without a head is considered a regular human, and if you shoot one in a town, the survivors will turn on you as though you shot one of the survivors. I'd suggest after saving a town, go to the bed and save the game. Alternate between the three slots so you always have three recent saves. There is also a rudimentary form of Fast Travel in the game. It's only assessible from the beds, and you can only travel to a saved town that you're already visited. The mythical horse should appear again, though you might get one of the other ones next time. War is the best of the mythical horses, as he looks cool (you didn't see him in his full glory), and he sets zombies on fire if you run over them. If/when you get him again, you'll probably want to keep him for the whole game, but when you tame a mythical horse, it becomes your new steed. If you decide to tame one of the other horses, immediately jump off afterwards, get back on War, ride to the last town you cleared, and hitch him to make him your horse again. There's also a glitch that sometimes when you whistle for a horse, a random horse will show up, and that horse is now your horse. If that happens, reload your last game, and hope that War is back. As a last resort, you also have the deed for the War Horse in your satchel that you can use any time to spawn in a War Horse (the black horse from RDR1 - not War, the mythical horse.) You seemed to have discovered the "execution" move. If you run up to an zombie with a gun drawn, and fire the gun without aiming, you'll shoot them through the head. You could do that in RDR, too, but it wasn't as useful as it is in Undead Nightmare. You can even do it with a sniper rifle. Since it's unlikely you'll ever snipe at the zombies, it's a good way to use the sniper rifle ammo, especially if you're low on everything else. I've played through Undead Nightmare at least 5 times, and I never figured out what was up with the torch as a melee weapon. Sometimes you swipe at them, sometimes you stab them in the head. It seem to be random. The green circles on the map are treasure chests with ammo. Those, and looting, are the main sources of ammo in the game go grab them all. Most towns have more than one/ And speaking of the towns, the "town safety" is represented by a green bar at the top of the screen and green circles. The bigger the town, the more circles there are. Killing zombies fills up the bar, and each time the bar is filled, a circle is lit up. Once all the circles are full, the zombies will stop spawning, and you can clear out the remaining zombies to save the town. Alternately, if you talk to the head survivor, he'll tell you what kind of ammo they're using, and if you give 5 of those bullets to a survivor, it fills in one of the circles. Usually, it's faster and uses less ammo to talk to the survivors. The treasure chests in the town have the type of ammo they use, so if you're out, you can refill there. (Sorry for making you have to read all that Mr. Lite... unless you just decided it was tl;dr. ;-)

Thank you so much for all of the advice!! I’ll try and save war for the last mythical horse I tame because that sounds AWESOME! I purchased the digital version of the game and that seems to have fixed all of the glitches, so hopefully it stays that way!!

​@@LiteWeightGaming You won't have any choice as to the order you collect the mythical horses. Grab them when they appear. If you get War next, though, after you tame the third horse, hop off of him, get back on War, and then hitch him to make him your horse again. Death will always be the fourth horse. The other three can appear in any order, though. The mythical horses can appear in a wide variety of areas around the map. There are no specific areas where they appear, but I think once you tame one, a certain amount of time has to pass before another will appear. Or, it may be you have to travel a certain distance on horseback before the next one appears. Avoiding fast travel for a while might increase the chances for the next horse to appear. It will take longer, but I think time is what you need.

I remember playing this at my mate's house when I was like 10 or 11.. They handed me the controller and I spent the first 20 minutes in a state of complete panic, riding my horse around Blackwater trying not to get thrown off by the zombies 😂😂 Needless to say, they got pretty bored watching me and it wasn't long before my turn was over 😄😅 What can I say though, shit was creepier back then! Even the base game had its eerie moments, mostly the stranger missions from what I remember 🤔 I really enjoyed watching you play it though, it was very nostalgic haha, keep it up! 👍

One time I learned from a comment in KZbin that the headless NPC glitch is removed if you purchase the DLC as a complement for the first game only, like you enter to the regular game and from the main menu, you enter to the Xbox Live store, search for the DLC pack and purchase it. If you have the game as an "extra game', like the disc version, the glitch will always happen. I play the game in Xbox One and I decided to try this about a year ago. I deleted everything related to my disc version and I purchased the DLC pack this way and so far, I haven't experienced the glitch at all. In my case, it seems this was enough to fix the issue and allow me complete the game at 100%, but I'm afraid I cannot guarantee if it will work for everyone yet.The good thing is that the DLC pack is very cheap now in days, so if you or someone here has the possibility to try this and it works, please let me know about it :) . All the people that saw that comment in KZbin said it also worked for them, so it might worth it! Good luck and keep up with the amazing content!

Yeah that headless zombie glitch was so annoying. it happened to me every 20-30 mins. You have to die and restart at the nearest town to get rid of it

Some helpful tips for you! When you see a mythical animal appear on your map it’s more than likely a mythical horse make sure you find it quick and break it so you can have it for awhile, the whole headless people glitch it pretty much unavoidable, your best solution would just be to restart the game or just leave to online mode then go back to undead nightmare
