Heard this song for the first time today...so beautiful. To my understanding, being human is something we take on to learn, experience and grow then we return home to our spirit, to our true home. Make this experience count, one day at a time...one action at a time. If you're reading this know that you are loved and this isn't what it's all about xo

I wanted to comment this just to get it out of my head. I have recently moved to a whole new city. I think the adjustment has been bigger than I actually know. When I first got here I was very excited and filled with energy to be the person I know I am inside. My initial rush of excitement is now gone and I am left grasping for those feelings, wanting them to come back. I feel lonely, I feel scared, I feel like I have lost my power and my purpose.. or at least the vision of my purpose. I feel in a way defeated... For the past few days this video has been popping up on my recommended timeline and my Watch It Again feed, the universe has been sending me a reminder. So, after revisiting this video finally I have come to the conclusion that tomorrow morning - I am going to open my eyes and I am going to fight like hell. Just because I feel like this now does not mean I will always feel like this and I believe that it is IN these moments that we become who we truly are. I am scared.. But I am making a promise to the person reading this right now that I will keep fighting to *be the change I wish to see in the world*. Peace and love everybody

I hate my job as a police officer and I listen to this every morning just before work and it helps. This past Friday I performed a traffic stop on a car making a turn where the sign so no turning. I asked for her licensed and it came back suspended. She started crying and I saw why, she had her new born baby in the back seat and she thought I was going to take her in, which I could have. I let her go, I could tell she was just getting off work, she was relieved and she probably was barely getting by and couldn't afford to pay her tickets. I handed her my business card and to contact me if she gets stopped in the area.

You could have created so much more pain in her life. This life is so difficult, on so many levels. Thank you for having a soul and a heart. Most do not anymore.
To be human is to know how to love. To be human is to be able to feel pain wether we like it or not. To be human is to have imperfections. To be human is to suffer for your success. To be human is to live through the fire so you can tell your story. Being human is hard, but beautiful.

Being human means accepting that we're fucked up, broken, finite creatures. It means accepting that we are naked and weak and fragile whilst alone; it also means realizing that it doesn't have to be that way. Alone, you are the tears that water weeds of desperation, but together, together we are rain. Together we are a torrential downpour of life, we are storms of kindness, we are lightning flashing across the void that declares "we will burn bright no matter this darkness." Being human is not a compliment. It means coming to terms with your own hubris; it means swallowing a belief in self-importance. It means accepting that by yourself, you are nothing. But together, united in the pursuit of something better, my dear, being human is everything.

This is one of the most powerful things I have ever seen. I have loved Oh Wonder and this song a good long while, but this video concept and the diversity of wisdom it portrays illuminated so much depth in Josephine and Anthony's identity as artists and as humans. The effect of their music is, unfailingly, so much more profound than the mere lyrics they contain. You, who's reading this right now, you are human, and therefore you are free, my friend. Whatever nagging feelings of stagnation or futility or confusion plague you... Get up, brush those feelings away and go do something you love. Something you're proud to commit yourself to - heart, mind, body, spirit, or any combination of the four. Get up and go do something you know will affect someone else positively. Find contentment with this present moment. Leave trails of optimism and hope with your every footstep. You are never, ever alone. 💜 Peace and love my fellow beautiful humans, smile because you are more than worth it 😌

And life is a learning experience. Love who you are despite what others may think. And don't judge. Every single one of us has been through extremely rough times. But the most important part is learning from these rough times, and our mistakes. We fall but we get up stronger then ever. Live now in the present, Love yourself now, Love others now. Sometimes I feel so lost because I see every other person moving forward, and I thought for awhile that I was never going to move forward, but with songs like this, with art, and people that also like this type of stuff, and I feel less alone, I feel powerful in a way. Sometimes things are scary, but I hold on to the things that give hope and love and it motivates me to move forward and continue my little adventure. To anyone feeling stagnant at the moment, don't worry you are doing amazing, you aren't being stagnant, you are just going slowly and that is still amazing, and if things don't turn out the way you hoped, don't give up, you can do it.

To be human is a gift because my brain can understand this music without which, I don't know what I would do or where I would be. To be human, is not to love or to breathe, but to observe, to hear, the good and the bad and, even the in-between. To be human is not to find new worlds, but to discover yours. To be human is to connect with yourself, with others and with the soil you stand on. To be human is to feel. We feel this beat, we feel these lyrics. Please, Oh Wonder, allow us to keep feeling. 🍃

What does it mean to be a human? - It means to strive and persevere to be 'better' than you were yesterday. Now, everyone has their own idea of what they think is their 'better' version. So how do you find yours? --Explore this life rather than staying put. Soak up all that life has to offer: get hurt, get well, get crazy, get passionate, get empathy, soak it all up! And decide for yourself: 'How do you want to move forward?!' That's what it means to be a human, "To find your own meaning, to mould yourself from the chaos and beauty around you."

To be human is to be able to have the freedom to think and make choices on your own. We live in a society that teaches us that we need opinion, we need other peoples thoughts to formulate our own choices. Have you ever thought.. What makes us different than animals? Not superiority but us as humans have a brain that is able to connect more dots. We are able to use our brain to build and innovate. I mean look at where we are now. If there is anything I want you to take away from this is one thing and it's very important to understand. All the answered are in *YOU.* Don't seek answers, approvals or opinions from others that doesn't want good for you. You are are in this life to make a difference and to be remembered for the great things *YOU* done in your life. Love, Tranzation

This video meant so much to me. Just like what one guy said. You're not out of the game till you stop breathing. I love that. you don't get to hide cause something bad happened to you. you get a minuet to breathe but then you gotta get back in there cause the clock hasn't timed out yet. and until that buzzer goes off. you don't get to give up.

I discovered this song at the lowest point of my life. I was underemployed and struggling to find work. I was also in love with someone special to me. I moved to San Diego and started over my life. I still struggled with depression. I felt the broad spectrum of emotions for the first time in my life. It made me realise I was human.

Robyn Amy Megan They (the record industry) will only allow fame to the "entertainers" that are pre-assembled for a set of profit driven, conformity strings. The fame infatuated ones. The ones that have not the inconvenience of artistry, a vision, or a message. They know how powerful a spirit motivated by music is, and unfortunately, they're not seeking to motivate our spirit, or inspire our hearts. Rather, they prefer our spirit oppressed, our fears motivated and our wallets inspired.

To me, humanity is empathy, compassion and love. It's helping a stranger, a kind word to someone you'll never meet again, a simple 'love you' each morning and night. It is loving for the sake of loving even if you aren't loved back.

This is resonating with me while my wife is pregnant with our first child. We are fragile. We are temporary. The world is a big, scary place and all we have is the people we love, so we should invest in each other. Love people, and sometimes you will get lucky and be loved back.

We are all different, but still, we all are one thing, we are humans. We are here fir a reason. And thats not to destroy earth. Because theres only one home, one earth, our world. Just keep on going. Why do we keep bullying, keep battling ourselves and don’t just be humans. Just be human, that’s the only way for peace and not war.

Carl Sagan once said: "We are a way for the universe to know itself." He had realized something beautiful. A glimpse into the philosophy of the universe allowed him to see, that we are all the same. This quote was based on the fact that all matter on this world and beyond, was once stardust. Absurd, some would counter... But consider it true for just 15 second. This greatly simplifies the question of what it means to be human, because if this is true, it would mean that we ARE the universe itself. We are the universe, able to think and reflect all we concieve and observe. So fundamentally, we are literally, all, the same. This unveils a deeply profound and beautiful connection between all there is in this universe. When i thought about this, i suddently truly understood this quote. I felt at home. I felt fulfilled. Because suddently, helping others would mean helping myself. Helping the universe. Helping the most truthful, greatest of goods. I think we as humans have one of the most important roles to play in existence. We have been granted the ability to percieve and reflect upon existence itself. To quote the brilliant man at 3:23 , i am also of the belief that "...being human means that we should channel it in a way, that serves other people, serves the total nature and everything". And that is, to me, the purest purpose in existence. Go out there, and be the best you can be for everything around you. That is what it means to be human.

Our song "All We Do'" has always meant a lot to us, and since its release in 2014 we have heard so many unbelievable stories from people about how it's helped them navigate the world. We made a short film with our great friend Mike Lee Thomas about what it means to be human. It's still relevant. We are all designed to love each other and ourselves, and yet sometimes it feels like the hardest thing to do. 6 years on, and "All We Do" is the theme tune to the Unforgotten TV series and being sung by Billie Eilish in her film... but it's still connecting with people. And THAT is the most important thing of all 💜 Thank you for listening 💜 ohwonder.lnk.to/CompleteID

@jasonmiradoli89004 жыл бұрын
I'm a 52-year-old divorcing father of three adult children, and I'm certain I'm not Oh Wonder's main target demographic. But I've watched this video more often than most the past 4 years since I've discovered it. I've posted it several times, and most of my friends probably don't take 8 minutes from their day to watch it. We're all too busy trying to catch up, keep up, or get ahead. That’s "All We Do". But there are few videos, be they written, spoken, sung - be they musical, spiritual, or motivational - that have the deep and profound wisdom as this, without coming off as preaching or rehearsed. So, thank you, Oh Wonder. You have created art that has affected many people, and each of us is capable of reaching at least 100 people in our lives, and in that sense, none of us are too far from 1,000,000 people. So, I hope we can enact that change, because..."uplifting somebody - that's what the human life is supposed to be about - uplifting somebody."

To me, being human means countless things, but it all revolves around one: Enjoying. I mean, we have limited time weather a lot of it is left or not, so it's up to us how we use this time. Enjoying life means friendships, it means loving what you do and many other things too. Enjoying life is contagious, trust me. But think about it, what would our world be like if we all reached that level? What if we all enjoyed our lives and loved what we do with them? I swear, it would be the most peaceful and innovative and effective and (insert any possitive adjective here) world. I'm writing an essay in a youtube comment hahah but if you took the time to read all this I'll just say; achieving this, if you think you haven’t already, would be a personal thing, it's up to us to change what needs to be changed to "Enjoy Life" This is what I love about these videos, they get people thinking like it got me thinking. We need more of this. Let’s spread the “enjoyment” guys.

During my recovery journey, this song was ...and still is, huge for me! It made me think of everyone else but ME! I volunteered more when I got sober. When I was making more money, I gave back SO much to those around me to make up for the time I screwed up. This song reminds me I have to give back. I have to help others. I went through my recovery so I could help others. Being human means caring with all your heart and never expecting anything back. Doing good should be enough. I will always live my life like this going forward. This song is powerful.
