I think the diesel engine journey is more exciting than compared to electric engines, because the roaring of diesel engine...the roaring sound the smoke immtion and it's shape gives immense joy to the people travelling with diesel engine. the same incident happened to us when we were in a mumbai csmt hwh duronto... in the returning journey to kolkata.... our tarin was being hauled by a similar #wap7 loco... when suddenly the loco got standed mid way... near bilaspur... and a #wdp4d loco rescued it.... and we reached hwh at 1 o clcok at midnight.... almost 2 hrs late...

Very very best, Diesel engines are truely more very very powerful than electric engines. WDM,WDG these 2 Diesel engines are best very powerful, high standard and attractive, only Diesel engines have true power capibility to run more than 30 bogies as a single engine for very long hours continuously in a easiest way , electric engines cannot do that..

I dont knw the logic behind this and I am not associated with the railways but I think this wasn't necessary. Decoupling the ALCO at Dankuni then again the WAP 7 taking the lead. The ALCO could have easily hauled the train . Can anybody tell me why was it done ???
