omg I love this song, the lil demon voice sounds so damn cute. Great animation!

quick point: Manson and Reznor are unhappy. The difference in the music is that Skinny Puppy approach others with a feeling of compassion, which is one of the roots of happiness.

This Video was indeed inspired by the old German stop-motion films especially the works "Bleistiff Halstunkers"(1920) "Das GrosseSchwanz"(1922) and the epic "Der Heisse Hunde" (1923)made by Dieter von Schwarzballes most prints are now extremely rare and missing pieces..Other influences were 3 VERY obscure films by Benjiman Dover and Phil McCrevis made in 1922. Ladislaw Starewicz made many stop-motion films after beeing inspired by tool.

Skinny Puppy and other bands from the time have some of the most meaningful lyrics I've ever heard. Most people don't understand that they're descended from the Beatnik movement. Read some William S Burroughs, Jack Kerouak, Siddhartha.

i dont know if the song is related to the video, however the video has clearly defined political views generally taking the royal mike out of the american government system. Animation was done by Thomas Kuntz if anyone is interested... amazing man with some amazing ideas

These guys were making music FAR before KMFDM. SP formed before 1982, KMFDM formed in 1984, and cEvin key was making music far before that.

Agreed. Which is why, even though digital means are cheap and accessible, police officers and other public agencies aren't outfitted with A / V equipment. Could you imagine them having to actually be accountable for the way they "serve and protect" the people? It would ruin the system that ascribes guilt: the means for passivity, the generator of revenue - It's better than taxes!

People are affected by the governemnt, environment, yes. But my point was that people just follows, like passive sheeps, and then when something goes wrong they put all responsibility on the government.

@hellchild65 This is how i can say they put on an awful show, no i'm not blind, i went to one of their shows and it blew. I left early it sucked so hard. Which was a shocker because their music isn't too bad. Now let me have my opinion, k?
@ohgrous15 жыл бұрын
See,I agree consumerism is the true culprit, but Government IS to blame for unwieldy deregulation of monies.Money is a tool leveraged against middle&lower classes,making food,clothes,medicine impoverishing. I drew attention to the concept of "guilt" because it's catalyst to the passivity you mention. Authoritative structures instill people with their notions of guilt and force them to act according to the status quo (be middle class). Making subversion/activism... a quality reserved for the poor

Im not trying to defend the establishment and what you say is true according to me but whats your point i dont get it? Im neither a revolutionary or something like that i think educatio and knowledge is good things but for what use when thesociety doesnt learn anything of it? people just continues to buy and consume a lot of unnecessary crappy things thats not needed to survive, but just to, for example live up to some "american middleclass dream"
@alooflikearobot15 жыл бұрын
11vivisection11, i think you should not write off all of society, i would like to posit here that while people stuck in the american nightmare are sheep, all that they need is a solid leader to rally behind. sadly, people let the media tell them that this is what obama is. it's impressive to see such disillusion so quickly with a lot of people.
@kicksex16 жыл бұрын
been there done that. trent hasnt put anything fresh out for years and his first hit was a rip off of sp so i will forever see him as a lower rate artist than sp...sorry.

I im not serious neither as i dont bother discussing things on youtube(chat fromat is shit) so anyone who even BOTHERS to respond to messages like that are the real 'insert the insult you use on a fake comment' yuorself. And are you a RadicaLeft/Communist or what? Because i wasN'T being serious whith my point.
@BInRt14 жыл бұрын
Certain black metal bands do this, but not ohGr. There are most positive songs than this, just look up Nastybyte's vid for Solow.
@MagnitudePerson14 жыл бұрын
NIN's oldskoolstuff was the best, same for ALL music thats a fact, ppls cared more for music beofre they knew they could AHRVEST IT LOL, Trent is shitty mainstream alternative metal not Industrial, March OF CRapitalist Pigs! Its subjective anywyas, if you like its ok, but they're not Industrial anymore, neither is Ogre, but atleast his Experimental(which means original music ...)
@capitanchadwig16 жыл бұрын
I like his music, but Ohgr can be downright blatant in his visuals. Too heavy-handed for me.

@TheValarieKay NIN is total crap? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *more laughter* hahahahahahaha.. you have to be joking? I think you'd find there's very few people as creatively abundant as Trent, sir.
@TheValarieKay13 жыл бұрын
Everyone against KMFDM, NIN is total crap. Older KMFDM is so much better. Lamest concert i ever went to was a NIN concert (lamer even than the country concert i was dragged to at 12 years old) but i've seen Skinny puppy and ministry so they made up for the horrid sounds NIN regurgitated on a stage that should have collapsed.
@TheValarieKay12 жыл бұрын
@hellchild65 The show was aweful. Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Meshuggah (opened for ministry) can all put on great shows. NIN was terrible. It was boring. Piss poor stage performance, bad opening groups, total let down of a concert i was originally psyched to see. So no, I don't think i sound cooler by saying they suck, i speak from experience, something you should try to obtain child.
