Ohhh Yeaaa - The Strokes - Reptilia - Old Guy Reaction

Wow.....The Strokes are such good musicians. At least, that is what we Old guys believe. Reptilla is such a good song. They are unique and kind of reminded me of a European 80's band...I guess it reminded me of a band called icicle works...or modern english....pull those up on youtube and let me know what you think....am I wrong or do you kind of agree? In other words, this style is timeless for me. I love it.

The Strokes started out as a rock band in my home town that hit it big with their debut album in 2001. This song is from their second album in 2003 after gaining lots of hype and media attention. The Strokes won Best Rock Album at the Grammys in 2021.

I gotta say it's weird for me to see someone referring to any part of NYC as a "hometown" 😂 What part of Brooklyn? I wasn't born in Brooklyn because my mother didn't want to give birth in Kings County lol. But my family was living in East New York at the time and I lived there until 16 and then moved to Queens.

Great observation on Green Day/punk tempo, as the Strokes were inspired in part by punk. I know, Green Day is "pop" punk but still, a punk subgenre.
