I got to see the Ohio Players with Sugarfoot at Music Midtown (Atlanta) in the 1990s and they sounded incredible! Rick James played the same year!

The four Remaining original members make the group somewhat legit but without Sugar or Marshall Jones funky bass it's just not the same.

@@davidlynn3631 This is true. I have always been a huge fan of Billy Beck, but his presence in the band has been reduced to Funky Worm. I am guessing there is a lot of drama behind the scenes with previous contract agreements and royalties.

Billy Beck isn't even the feature keyboard player anymore Diamond doing something shady just like he tried to dismiss Sugar from the group.

@@davidlynn3631 I heard something similar a couple of years ago. Also, why do they need three guitarists? Is it cheaper to keep the one instead of paying him royalties? I can understand Chet wanting a 2nd guitarist, but the other guy? Is his rig even plugged in?

i think the music is good but the Ohio Players without Sugarfoot in my opinion should be called something else. He had one of the funkiest voices in the music world.

There are no more original members the last one died last year. Greg Webster . These guys are probably siblings . They don’t sound nothing at all like the Ohio players
