I’m brand new into archery and hunting, goal is to ultimately deer hunt. Since I don’t know anyone with land I’ll have to hunt public land. My biggest fear is to scout out land or set up a hunting spot only to find out another hunter is right next to me and I’m ruining his hunt. I would feel horrible. How do I find locations to hunt public land where I won’t be interfering with other hunters?

That unfortunately comes with the territory. Hopefully the other hunter you run into understands that as well. It’s public land and we all have to share it. As for ways to lower the chances of that happening, I’d suggest two things. 1. Use water, thick or wet terrain and elevation to separate yourself from other hunters. 2. Most hunters go in less than a quarter mile into the woods. The further you are from a road, the less likely you’ll see other hunters. Those are great starting points.
