@@sudukemsn HUGE lifelong Michigan fan here, going back to the early 70's. This rivalry has had its momentum shifts, some extending for long periods on both sides. That said, while I have the UTMOST respect for the Buckeyes, I'm not convinced that Day has the mettle to drive a bus full of expectations like OSU, especially when he has to fill the entire bus himself. Everyone - EVERYONE got screwed in 2020 by the stupid virus - might as well just write that season off as a non-event. From this point forward, this is Ryan Day's team, completely. It will be 100% his players, coaches and staff. It will be his 100% responsibility to instill the confidence necessary to win these kinds of games into his young players. That is no small task. I HOPE he is up to the challenge - I really do! That is a pretty big ask of a guy who inherited a superior program for his first head coaching job! College Football is better when BOTH of these teams are successful!

It was today. Given how bad Harbaugh is, it’ll take more than one game to say that. Simply stated, Harbaugh is nearly incapable of winning big games. He’s 1-5 against Ohio State, 1-4 in bowl games. That makes him 1-9 in big games. I hope TTUN doesn’t embarrass itself next week and embarrass itself if it goes to the CFP. I was at the game and am a long time Michigan fan. Both Bo and Woody would approve of the game plan implemented by Michigan on Saturday. It was old fashioned "smash mouth" football. Jim Harbaugh had Bo and Mike Ditka as coaches and this is what they did. It's a winning formula and he got back to basics this year. OSU has a very good team and many talented young players like C.J. Stroud. He's an amazing QB and will give Michigan problems for years to come. OSU will make adjustments on defense and be as formidable as ever. No team is preordained to win this big rivalry game. Michigan Alumn here,first of all you guys are being way to hard on yourselves. You guys know that the one way ass whoopings were eventually going to stop and some balance would come into play. You guys have a great coaching staff, a great program and great players. Instead of talking about blowing up the defensive coaching staff how about giving them a chance to learn from their mistakes. Either way its rivalry back on and were coming for blood each and every year. We have a young roster too, and the motto of beat Ohio State or die trying is real my southern brothers.

Odd thing about these losses and having faith in the head coach is being excited to see what changes are made. We don’t have to rebuild so it’s just a matter of hoping the coaches and players learn from this and come out even better next year. That’s a long time to wait though

So we played a 4-4 defense against Bama, when you knew they would throw it, and a 4-2-5 against Michigan when you knew they would run it. Dumb coaching. Period. Hire some coaches who have a clue. If fans can see the problems, why can't the high paid coaches? Gross.

Bitter loss but congrats to TTUN they outplayed us and deserved to win. From an objective point of view it is good for the rivalry and the conference as a whole that TTUN is having a great season, the streak would end eventually, still a bitter loss but hopefully this will be motivation for a young team to improve and come back stronger in the bowl game and next year. Hats off to them for a well played game. Ryan Day is an offensive coordinator. His defensive lack of knowledge and who to assign as a defensive coordinator is our Achilles' heel. We got flat out beat today. Couldn't have played worse. I could point out many things (penalties, play calling, bad defensive scheme, bad officiating, etc.) In the end, we got whipped plain and simple. Time for Day, the coaches, and players to evaluate. What bothers me more than anything is they played loose and with great energy. We played tight and showed very little fight. Perhaps we thought we could just show up and win. Well, they learned a lesson today.

A good friend of mine put it to me this way: TTUN seemed to want it more. I think it’s that simple. I just hope if TTUN makes it to the CFP they don’t embarrass the Big Ten, which, if Jim Harbaugh’s record is any indication, is likely they will.

Michigan just manhandled OSU. Cade had to do just enough to pass the ball to keep OSU honest, but Michigan just ran down their throat. As a Buckeye, Michigan simply beat their ass. 2022, new defensive coaching staff. Al Washington and Coombs for sure.
@paralysissucks11423 жыл бұрын
Why Al Washington? There are NFL players that come to him and train in their off season.
@ebear40153 жыл бұрын
@@paralysissucks1142 May be thats a problem (Training NFL players in the offseason)? In 2020 we saw multi-year starters regress. Browning misused with his speed and size, which was evident in the senior bowl game. Missed assignments on a consistent bases. Pete Warner was the only bright spot. Fast forward to 2021. Easily the worst position group, again. Consistent rotation at the position that ultimately had two seniors leave because AL had no clue who to start because none of them stood out, which is an even bigger indictment of the poor job Washington did in getting anyone ready behind the three starting linebackers he inherited when he got the position.. I would argue K'Vaughan Pope showed more promise than Tommy and Cody and played with that edge that is clearly missing. Neither Tommy or Cody been developed properly and have been lost in their run fits and terrible in zone coverage. Where is T. Mitchell? When your best player is a RB converted to LB in Steel Chambers who spent the least amount of time in your room, you have problems. Al Washington is as close to Ryan Days Bill Davis as possible. The last time OSU had good linebackers was Fickells last year.
The ends did not get any pressure and could not contain. Should have left JT in for more plays.

I used to never fear this game as a Michigan fan and boy was that a huge mistake because you guys gave that pain back to us ten fold so thats one thing ill agree with you about. Buckeyes’ Offense's Scheme and Play Calling in this game were bad; 3 points in Quarter 1, 10 points in Quarter 2, and Zero score in Quarter 3!!! Where was the smart usage of 3 outstanding Receivers?! Bad Scheme, Bad Play Calling. Too many Penalties, and the Rush was ineffective Buckeyes’ Defense has been their Achilles' heel throughout the season and that caught up with them in this critical game. That weak Defense allowed Michigan Running back Hassan Haskins to score 5 TDs Rushing, easily!!! You can't go far without a solid Defense. I had a bad feeling about this season after the unexpected loss to an undermanned Oregon at home, and the coaches did not learn much from that loss or from the difficulties they encountered with Penn State and with Nebraska. As great as the Offense was vs lowly teams, this team as a whole has not been a material for a National Championship, not with such pathetic Defense, and not with lousy schemes and lousy play calling vs strong teams. The Buckeyes need a new smart competent and creative Defensive Coordinator, the sooner the better

We end the season 10-2 and a loss against ttun, better than most rebuilding years, but we Have to recruit on Defense, maybe look for new play callers on defense and get back at it next year. I really look forward to the next few years, but this hurt and it hurt to watch My Buckeyes get hit by that team up north.
