St Clair is an Ohio kid who's all in on the Buckeyes. I can see Sayin leaving if things don't go great for him. I believe the St Clair and Smith duo will be the talk of College football in a couple of years if Smith stays with the Bucks. The transfer portal and NIL has made things a big guessing game.

It’s Tavien bro.. Tavien seems very elite & has the size & athleticism but Sayin is just different & a true elite thrower of the ball with elite decision making, very calm & confident. He’s just different & very very similar to Bryce Young but bigger.. Him, Bryce & CJ all come from the same place playing elite competition & the only question mark for Tavien for me is he hasnt & didn’t play elite competition in high school literally at all so it will take time for him to adjust throwing in the college windows

The thing is, Ohio State doesn't need a QB to come in and be game changer. They just need an accurate QB to come in and manage the offense as they get better throughout the year. Whoever it is, most likely Julian Sayin, just needs to distribute the ball to, once again, the BEST WR corp in college football. Get them the ball accurately in space and watch them rack up the yards to pad your stats and theirs.

I agree with this 100%. At a certain point, you gotta make a young guy the new starter, there’s no reason to perpetually go into the transfer portal when you seem to always have a QB room full of five stars. On top of that this year proved emphatically that you can have a young guy come in and it’s OK to lose a game or two and that’s no longer a season ender which is a huge weight off of a program and especially now that Day has a natty under his belt that’s the weight of the world off his shoulders too

The coaches know if they have the qb needed or they would be in the portal since they aint then thats a great sign because if they did get a QB out the portal then sayin and lincoln k would more then likely transfer. But by them not going to the portal they know they see these qbs real talent in practice and they know if they have it or not so its definitely a real good sign. But i see sayin starting because hes got experience he even played actual playing time at bama so he will more then likely be the starter i don't see st clair starting next year unless sayin gets hurt and lincoln k transfers which i see happening if sayin gets the job over him will leave just sayin and st clair

I am pretty sure that Sayin never got playing time at Alabama. In fact, IIRC Sayin was a 2024 high school recruit for Alabama (i.e. November 2023 signee), then in January 2024 he transferred to Ohio State without ever actually setting foot on the Alabama campus. So while technically he was a transfer, in reality he was simply a high schooler coming to Ohio State.

Nick Saban, Bill O'Brien, Ryan Day AND Chip Kelly all stamped Sayin to be their guy. Quit playing. Tavien needs at least a year to get up to speed with the length, speed, and physicality of top-flight D1 defensive players. Much smaller and more rapidly closing windows given that he's coming from a lower level of Ohio H.S. competition. Lincoln will be more competitive with Julian at this point.

Noland just knew he never was going to be able to fit in here, and that's why he moved on. He had to face real competition, and couldn't get it done. I thought he would compete for the #1 job but he obviously couldn't compete, so c ya, glad ya showed your true color's on the practice field. Not when we needed a 3rd and 11 in the championship game. Because it takes someone special to make that throw. And we did with Howard.
@TristenCoon-bw3snКүн бұрын
@@Buckeyman55 Lmao I'm an Ohio State fan but this isn't the first time Ryan has made a mistake at a position. I think Air Noland will be end up being better than Julian "tiny man" Sayin who has a weak ass arm and will be a bum this coming year and will cause us to lose multiple games and I will be calling for Day's job because let's be honest. In that spring game last year Air looked far better than Julian in the spring game.
@RollTideRoll_GSPКүн бұрын
To be honest DeBoer/Bama didn’t even try to keep Sayin. DeBoer obviously didn’t like his size and believed more in Austin Mack who’s actually the same age as Sayin. Mack came to Bama with DeBoer from Washington but Mack went to Washington after his junior season of HS. We’ll see if that was the right decision going forward.
@chrishance76048 сағат бұрын
Sayin has stroud accuracy hes just kinda small for a qb
@330wiz7Күн бұрын
I think everyone doesn’t understand how good Sayin is. They think he’s regular good but he’s not. He’s different. Tavein might be that dude too but we don’t know. He went to a small school and didn’t face much competition. Don’t get me wrong he looks great. But big time big 10 football is different than high school. Some kids can’t adjust and you don’t know till it happens. We’ll see. Same goes for Sayin as well.
@TristenCoon-bw3snКүн бұрын
Julian Sayin is indeed mid. Air Noland was better and Ryan Day fucked up and picked the worse quarterback out of the two. Julian has a weak arm I saw his Elite 11 highlights and I've seen him a couple times in garbage time this past season and he was by no means impressive and had a weaker arm than Will Howard did (not knocking Will because he was just the quarterback we needed but he really didn't have the strongest arm).
@aclaw4u2 күн бұрын
Who’s even available in the portal?
@Buckeyman55Күн бұрын
Julian Sayin is going to be the starting QB day 1 he's been able to sit back and learn an entire year behind Howard, and that's the best thing he could have happened. Even Nick Saban said he was the best QB he's ever personally seen coming out of HS. He's ever requited. He even got to play for some for the Saban. Then the following year just as Sayin got to do, ST. Claire will be the starter because after winning the Heisman trophy he will declare for for the draft and move on to the NFL.
