Reminiscent of 2014, when Ohio State had an early-season loss to Virginia Tech. They absolutely would NOT have made the first CFP without a 59-0 demolition of Wisconsin in the B1G Championship. There were southern teams that were outraged that the Committee promoted OSU over them. Seeded 4th out of 4, OSU then went on to deftly handle #1 Alabama in what was, as usual, an SEC home game for Bama and destroyed Mariota and the Ducks in the Natty. That year and this year, OSU got in only because of expansion of the CFP field.

Lotta people out here saying Oregon was overranked. I wouldn't disagree, I called Oregon a paper tiger before, but they're still a great team. I thought OSU would win by a touchdown like 31-24 or something, but I can say NO ONE over here in Ohio predicted how this game would go, even after we saw what they did to Tennessee.
