Here’s the issue using these statistics to try to compare teams, Texas barely beat 2 fringe top 25 teams, Texas not being able to run the ball all year is a huge problem because the only decent offense they saw was UGA lmfao you can’t even compare these teams rn, Texas first ranked win was vs Clemson and Clemson was throwing the ball all over them, and then ASU rushed for 200 yards on Texas lol I just don’t see how Texas has a better defensive position period. Ohio State is top 5 vs half of the playoff field, Texas played nobody’s and it shows.

if texas was as "physical" as you claim - they would not be as inconsistent running the ball OR be giving up the HUGE amount of yardage on defense. clemson and ASU combined had 1000 yards of offense - i do NOT buy your "texas is more physical and will break teams" thought.

Great video as always Sam. I will say though, it feels like your analysis kind of contradicts the outcome you picked. I understand you don't want to just outright say Texas has no chance, and I agree that they can win this game. But listening to you explain the matchups, all I heard was that you think Texas has the O-Line advantage (which they do) and no other advantage. Their defense is not better on any level than OSU and their offense is only better at the line of scrimmage. No coaching edge either, and Texas has played 4 games against teams worth their salt. They lost 2 to Georgia (who is not a great team this year) and beat an alright Clemson team that they let back into the game and should have lost to ASU who they also let back into the game. You also mentioned Texas "breaking" teams when over the course of their games against teams with decent talent, they have not broken any of them. OSU has broken Tennessee and Oregon in the last two weeks, when it matters. People seem to forget that OSU lost to Michigan because they decided to play Michigan's game, Michigan did not dictate that for OSU. If they play how they'd like, which I expect them to, they will beat Texas soundly.
