Love Laurinaitus as a coach. The linebacker position was the one weakness in this Buckeye defense over the last several years and it is going to be corrected under Laurinaitus.
@baractusobamiuscaesar5540 Жыл бұрын
I'd argue LB's were the only position where the players were consistently good and reliable. Corners were atrocious, mostly because of injuries, safeties were inconsistent, and DL was wildly inconsistent.

Great Segment, neat concept. OSU video room needs a remodeling job :) You can argue forever on who the best were that wore the scarlet and gray. Give me Spielman, Hawk, James, and the BIG CAT. ANDY KATZEMOYER WAS THE BEST TO EVER PLAY LINEBACKER AT OSU. 3rd in Heisman I think? Can't wait to see some tackles in the backfield this year and not five yards downfield. Heisman campaigns used to die vs OSU's defenses....bring that tradition back. The staple of a great D was nobody ran on the Silver Bullets...and that goes double for the team up North. Can't wait to see Tommy E and Steele play even faster than last year. Good luck fellas!

They could only pick from 4 according to their rules. Steele picked Tommy Eichenberg and we all know that’s a matter of Tommy being his roommate. If I was to pick just 4 it would be…… .4 Cousino 3.Hawk 2.Gradishar 1. Spielman.

Let's hope the entire current defense heard this exchange because the one thing they lack is leadership. They lack that voice in the locker room who will get in guys' faces when they're not taking care of business, doing their job on the field and off. Who will push them when they begin to get sluggish and lothargic out on the field. Most of those linebackers that Laurinaitis and even Steele referenced didn't lose back-to-back games to TTUN and were tough as nails.
