Ohma is not really fresh to begin with, his injuries are actually pretty heavy. As a reminder, his fight against Ryo in the 1st round gives him bruises, uses of Advance cause his heart being overtaxed. His fight with Raian causes a lot of damage too, with Wakatsuki even makes everything worse. Kuroki on the other hand are also not as fresh as he begun. His right hand especially thoroughly broken. Also some broken ligament on the right elbow as well Edit: so, if you think about it, Kuroki is more on fighting condition than Ohma. As a reminder Kuroki’s right hand finger got broken on his 2nd and 3rd match, on semi he sacrificed his right hand to prevent a killing blow too.

So far Kuroki fought enemies with busted ass techniques and abilities that you'd think they'd roll over him but he didn't, instead he stuck to the fundamentals, kept calm the entire time while carefully analyzing his opponents. He didn't need any flashy over complicated techniques, he used the right technique at the right time. And when he did get hit, he quickly recovered and was able to maintain his defense and regain his rythm

Was looking for this comment. Kuroki is a very good fighter, yes. But had Ohma not forgotten those Niko style techniques in the beginning of the tournament, he would have won those previous matches with little to no damage and I believe could have won against Kuroki in the finals. Not to mention he also fought one more match than Kuroki as Ohma fought a version of Shiryu, out of the tournament, and that Shiryu is stronger than what Kuroki faced.

I love how this anime uses kuroki as a subversion of a lot of fights in fight manga's. Ohma tries being super fast around him and for al his work kuroki just raises one arm to block him. In most anime's it'd be so crazy that a person can walk circles around you but kuroki's says it perfectly. Who cares, he still has to come to me at some point. Other then kuroki's obvious ridiculousness with being able to piece with his fingers, he is just so awesome being a normal fighter with no power ups.

Ohma was falling apart in this fight. I don't think he'd win against Kuroki regardless, but it would've been a much closer fight if both were in top condition instead of Ohma getting dominated this badly. But, that's the fighter's life.

Loved this series. I am so very glad Agito vs Ohma wasn't the final fight. I thought his character was flat and boring. Using Agito to build up Kuroki was the right narrative decision not that Kuroki needed a whole lot more. The writers did a good job of making him look like an absolute monster.

I was pleasantly surprised that this series subverted even my expectations. I’m still sad Ohma didn’t get to 100% achieve his dream, and that this Yankee-lookin guy basically decimated every character he came across. But it was a satisfying series all around.

The direction of 'Kiou' feels very different from the original work. Originally, it was a form of supporting the waist, receiving a stab with the right shoulder, and returning the power with an uppercut with the left hand. This animation expresses 'Kiou' as if it is simply using the recoil to throw a strong punch with the power of 'Maegari'. I think the fight with Takeshi Wakatsuki was expressed the best. Even that one is different from the cartoon.

Actually The ending of the manga is not bad at all. It might be a shame to the watchers bevause ohma dies, bit I think he is satisified after the fight. Things won't be 100% perfect and sometimes it will bring disappointment and sadness during competitions.Ohma use his all and lose first hand. To a pure martial artist, it is quite a good thing. He already knows Advance has the price and he took it. Even he dies, nothing to blame about. At least, there is no repentant for him.
