Cheats are also made on the same kernel level as all those other drivers, and as the guy in the video said, there are different levels in kernel. Most VALORANT cheats will make you restart your computer so their driver can load with the deepest possible access, which grants them one special ability: to hide themselves. The kernel driver can completely hide itself from the system and Vanguard, hence why Vanguard requires you to restart your computer, so it can catch these cheats before they hide.

Privacy is one thing what people are not aware of is that you also open up your entire system for other nefarious things, You could very well be a worm in a cluster or be exploited for crypto mining and you would never know. Valorant may not have malicious intentions however we do not know the other parties that are involved or what external party can acquire access to this information. People shouldn't just accept this, Yes it has benefits for sure but can also have serious consequences to the point that i may be a legal matter. Valorant never took 2TB in anyone's system. If you are seeing such screen shot there might be a bug during install and files were extracted multiple times, or they manually pasted files worth that much size into the folder Also someone from Riot gave the explanation to why vanguard runs all the time. So when you report a player in game, there has to be enough reports for the anti cheat to check the system. Then if the player getting reported isn't online at that time and gets reported after, his PC still gets scanned for cheats. If the anticheat closed with the game, it would not be able to scan the pc for cheats. and in those cases the cheaters; pc would not get scanned and they would escape a ban.

But that's also because my computer is not only for gaming, it's where I have personal data, also work and confidential information.... so yes but no thanks :D Also vanguard requires to turn off a feature in bios that I require for work.. it would be a pain to turn it on/off every time I wanted to play a game.... If my computer was just a plain gaming computer and for nothing else and also complete isolated from other computers network wise, I would might give it a thought.... But in the end kernel level anti-cheat does not accomplish nothing, it's still possible to cheat (speaking as a computer engineer and a software developer), all this things does is giving players a false sense of cheat free games, they will still be obliterated in game by cheaters with the difference that now they will just think that the other guy is just better.

So you can turn it off if you're not playing it. Then open only when you want to play. That's why Valorant anti-cheat works better than CS2. If you let it work only when playing then it's easy to override or make a way around it.

Once I quit vanguard by formating pc, creating a restore system intalling valorant playing then restoring and the account was signed so I played whit no vanguard and guess what the game feelt more fluid I even got a ton of kills it was like if that thing gives you lagg progressively like if all your choises in game and match history counts by who you play agains, I felt that way but who knows right xD

I think you have to use CCleaner and REVO uninstaller along some other tools to get rid of all the hidden files and registry keys
