Aye it's never to late to get into these Older Metal core albums.. Miss may I was one of the Rise bands that really pushed me into this kind of Metal in 08-09... Happy to also see you are viewing some Older slipknot.. That is my Childhood haha.. Especially The Iowa Album where Corey sounds the best. Back to Miss may I.. The 1st 2 Albums were sick af, but The band wasn't the best Live in those days.. Levi didn't sound like he did in the recorded versions of the songs, and you could barely hear him on stage.. The music was also pretty weird live.. When they recorded 'At heart' Their 3rd studio album, They moved away from Joey Sturgis and went to a producer that had Produced some big metal bands at the time.. I feel this is when Levi changed it up on his screams and their live sound became Mint! Apparently that producer pushed them out of their Comfort zone and really forced them to work hard.. Not layer their music with all the Junk Joey probably did during production, causing the Studio versions and Live versions to sound like 2 completely different things. I know we all miss the Old miss may I albums, but they sound better live now days, more than they ever did from 08-11... Growth baby!
