Ik this video is old. But I was hoping you could tell me how long the rubber band holds up, does it eventually loosen up? I just recently purchased it and really enjoy.

I have this grip on my Galaxy s21 ultra and it's definitely SUPER convenient to have for a big phone. They need a case with this already built in, that'd be 🔥

@@yamanran6765 I put it on a Spigen Liquid Air case and the wireless charge is spotty. I'm not a huge wireless charger guy, thankfully, but it will be an annoyance for those who are.

I’ve been reading you can pull the magnetic grip part off and just leave the metal ring on for when you charge. Seems to be working! I’ll have to check out those spigen cases too. Thanks for the comment brotha!

@@yamanran6765 yup I just tested pulling off the magnetic portion and it wireless charged perfectly. Interestingly enough the magnetic part comes off hella easy, you just pull it right off. I didn't realize that because the magnets are so secure.

Yeah it works pretty nice! They should really advertise that you can do this with the grip lol I just remove the grip to use MagSafe accessories lol

Nice vid, thanks for posting an honest review. Can you estimate the size of the ball joint on the back of the car mount, holding the magnet to the vent? I just got this grip and I'm hoping to frankenstein a car mount because the magnet on my current setup is fairly small and doesn't grab this grip as firmly as I'd like.

That’s a tough one, it’s pretty small and it doesn’t come out to fully see.. hmm maybe the size of a slightly larger marble? 😂 I gave it to my dad so I’ll try to measure for you soon my friend

Happy it works for you. I have an LG v40 and Oddly this works wireless charging for me but not with their charger only my own. Their charger works the grip but without the metal ring fine with or with case. As soon as I add the ring in their wireless charger stops... So strange. I have kept it since it works with my other wireless chargers (although not in fast mode for some reason).

Yes, it doesn’t charge very fast and you have to get it in The perfect spot to work 😂 it’s annoying. Now I just pull the ring off and use my Apple magsafe charger or a regular wireless charger

@@yamanran6765 yea I don't think it's a lining up issue. I even looked up a tare down for my phone to see exactly where the wireless charger was. For what ever reason their charger works fine with the grip, but as soon as I add in the metal ring it won't register-but will with my other chargers... Either way, I doubt I'll keep it. I liked the idea of magnet holder for the car but even that has a lack of flexibility to attach to a vent but keep out of the way of my dash. Hopefully android manufacturers will standardize something like maglock one day.

It’s called magnetic viewing film and it shows you where any magnets are underneath something. Will the ohsnap grip work with other car magnet mounts? My concern is that the magnets will repel each other. Thanks!

If you leave the magnetic grip on, you’ll have to use the ohsnap mount. But if you pull the magnetic grip off, you’ll just have the metal ring on the back of your phone, and you can stick any MagSafe products to that (like MagSafe chargers, wallets, and mounts)

So do you still use mage afe and you leather case? When do you and why would you change cases? Im actually in same position amd the grip is so good i thought i would change to the leather one when i go out and use thr grip at home. Curious about your use cases

Yes, I use magsafe with my leather and silicone cases all the time! I switch between those and the Ohsnap grip when I get bored with one! I usually always use the Ohsnap grip when I go to the gym (because it can magnetically stick to all the equipment) or if I’m at my desk at home/work (because I can use the stand to watch some youtube 😂). But I also like to change to the leather case when I go out to show that off lol

It will! I’m due for a follow up video lol the grip works great if you remove the magnetic grip from the metal ring. My MagSafe mount also works too. I can’t believe Ohsnap doesn’t advertise that you can do this lol it works really well 👀

You had it too high on most of your attempts, it is very important to have it centered. I have also found that using a very thin case helps out a lot. To make it work with your magsafe charger you can just remove the plastic part of the ohsnap grip.

@@yamanran6765 I was watching KZbin and the oh snap ad video started playing and I thought it was a mag safe product so I went to the website to purchase it. Then I realized you had to permanently stick it on your phone for it to work. I have a mag safe apple case and bought this thin MagSafe plate that snaps on and off and the magnetic hold it pretty strong. Then stuck the pop socket onto the plate and I’ve loved it ever since.
