Having gotten into DBD Spring 2020, this past few months I finally feel like I get the game. The highest rank I ever got to was 11. I always wanted to play nurse, and I finally decided to. But I had to realise that I am kinda sweaty. Watching comp is so rewarding because I can see a spectrum of sweatiness. It's fun to watch people try really really hard to win, and also see that I'm really not THAT sweaty, but would totally enjoy the excuse to be!

Since Nurse was disabled due to being buggy mess, they did allowed as one time exception to pick same S-tier. She is a staple of tournaments, so I think many teams wanted to save her for later and then this happened.

You're not actually seeing stretched res. Tofu is using native resolution. All you're seeing is killers/survivors look down a bit. There shouldn't be any strain coming from watching this because you're watching normal resolution dbd.

@@Swishzors the whole looking down thing is what I find bugging about It, I hate having to stare at the top half of my screen rather than the middle to see what's going on, the perspectives of each individual is seemingly incomprehensible compared to playing the game itself because of this issue. You can't see across the map, you can only see immediately infront because they're looking at the damn ground.

Last I knew, you can always tell who has DS because it increases your odds of being the obsession, so unless someone else brought sole survivor, object of obsession, or mettle of man, the obsession has DS

I LOVE these games. So much fun to watch. Also pls, I beg of y'all, figure out the gender of the players cause I'm getting spun for a loop with who we're talking about when two casters are referring to the same person with different pronouns. Maybe for next tournament would it work to enforce some name rules? I'm sure it's kinda boring for the players, but it'd be a huge help for learning who the players are and following the teams and players from tourney to tourney if they went by some name consistently rather than stuff like #1 nurse Africa

I think they know the genders of the players but mix pronouns up between the person actually playing, and the character the person is playing. Happens all the time in this game because of character diversity. I always call my random teammates "she" when they play a girl character regardless of the gender.

We talk about it in some of the downtimes, but basically because nurse ended up being too buggy to play, we changed the rules a little. A lot of teams planned out their killer picks many weeks in advance, and were saving nurse for their potentially hardest matchup, and using their second strongest killer earlier. With her being gone, they would be forced to use a killer that they had never planned on using, and one that wouldn't even be their "next best" after nurse since they got baited into using it early (thinking they'd have nurse later). Also, no team had used both of their pool 1 killers yet. So it seemed like a pretty fair idea to allow all teams to use the same pool 1 killer twice if they wanted to, due to the nurse bugs.

Maybe the matches would be bad if survivors had everything at their hand but it’s in the game for a reason. Still this is awesome as I said. I’m new to the competitive side
