@@thewarden3554 I think they made that rule because, as they said, it’s the killers job to keep track of their slugs, which I personally think is a fine justification, but I think that another consideration taken by the team was that they didn’t want to incentivize letting people bleed out because it’s rather boring to watch. Pyramid head definitely deserved that kill though for sure.

Yeah I think the rule makes sense but that is a crushing interpretation for low mobility killers. They absolutely should've given it to him. He found him and started the animation. I hope they have a good losers run back.

I would really love to see something being done about the stretched res, Im loving the tournaments but its real hard to watch when all you see is the floor. especially the oni game with him in his power was literally unwatchable while it should be the hypest moment of the game

More of the games fault than anything. There have been bugs in spectator that have been in there since 2018. I remember when fortnite got really big and everyone was using stretched in tournaments, yet the spectator side was fine to watch from because it wasn't coded with sticks and stones.

The discussions on compound 21 makes me think it might be wicked with adrenaline vial. The extra ability to 180 flick might let you take more advantage of those auras. Also how is it that survivors can play so well and so safely against a plague when they're injured but can't figure out how to not take a hit from oni LOL, maybe that's the trick. Just tell them to look at oni before his first hit as a plague when you're all fully sick

I feel like stretch res should be banned from these kind of tournaments. I get that it's an advantage, but it makes it hard to watch for viewers, which I think is the main point of these.

Really enjoying this tourney but it doesn't make sense to me that stretched res is okay when it's not only not part of the game, but gives an unfair advantage over those who cannot use it e.g. the console team. And then you can't try to 4% which is most definitely part of the game. There's so much rng and luck involved in this game especially with ping that it doesn't make sense to me for that to be a hard stop

There's no need to as all the players entering the tournament agree to use the rules. As well the rules have specified what level of rez stretching is allowed. These aren't pubs where random players are getting an advantage over others.

Enjoying the great games and the great commentary but the staff behind this tournament is god awful. The constant changing and inconsistent rules, not telling the casters or the players about these rule changes a reasonable time beforehand , docking points because a player accidentally broke a rule that wasn’t made clear and that had no effect on the game as a whole. Allowing cheap add ons like C21 for blight but banning perks that counter some of these characters . Overall OhTofu and Ralph deserve much better than this tourney and the staff is god awful and needs to do better cuz this is very amateur league and not coming off as an actual comp tourney. I have a competitive DBD group I’m in and most of them aren’t watching because how bad the staff is handling this tourney. I know some of the people playing in this tourney and all of them have told me that the staff is not being transparent at all with them.

Seeing the pyramid head lose to bleed out felt awful but I will say, from the point of view of a better spectator experience, making him actually have to run and find the slugs rather than just wait out the bleeds over hatch was definitely more exciting to watch (even if it was a heartbreaker)

Both the changes from the first tournaments were downgrades to competitive integrity, IMO. Doing killer selection this way is only "interesting" in an uncompetitive way. It actively encourages collusion (e.g. two first-round teams agreeing to play C-tier killers against each other). While there may be a modicum of skill in choosing what killers you use, teams are helpless when it comes to what's picked against them.

I think this is more for the sake of time. Both teams playing each other's killer means a minimum of 4 games per round. So it would at least double the time, or more if there are ties.

@pedro stretch res makes some mind gameable tiles all about reaction time and not guess work; it does help against even the best killers. Especially in a tournament where delaying for an extra vault can mean the difference between 1 or 2 gens popping before a hook.
