A testing weekend here at Cameron Park, Friday my motor snapped its conrod which wrote the motor off, second, in the first vets race, after repairing the bike, fitting a new motor (huge thanks ‪@ohvaleau‬ ) I then had this enormous Highside in turn 6..
The track here is awesome, I just need to get my head back in the game after such a huge get off.. This weekend is a write off in term of pushing for any places now…. Just ride ride ride…..
Thanks for watching….

Been there my friend. Everything is off by just a little but you're like I can push through this and still finish decent and then you're on the deck pissed.

Thanks for the video and glad to hear you’re ok. How do I get into this? Do they ever do open days out at Cameron Park?

Hi Dave, I noticed that Glenn Allerton posted the race results and am I correct that you got a couple of 7th place finishes? I thought that the combination of your unexpected mechanical problems, consequential lack of track time and then running a stock engine, a 7th place finish was a very good result. Fortunately you were able to escape injury from this high side 👍🏁.

Do you tried the "hirizontal lock" function on your go pro?

@0:50 The guy in front of you is lying on the handlebars. It's causing rider-induced wobble. You are applying throttle way late! @1:54 Finally applying throttle at the proper time @1:56 The Other rider has much shorter gearing allowing him to drive away. Downshift!! @3:14 Wrong gear, but apply throttle before you arrive. Do all turns like this! @3:19 Now! - apply throttle and drive through the corner, don't coast. @3:30 Now! @3:45 Now! Drive to the inside and power to the outside, brake get the front set down for the turn, apply throttle, turn and drive through the turn. @4:01 This was done much better. Applying throttle before the turn and driving through. Then the next turn you coast through the turn until you are way past the apex. @3:56 Leaning on the bars as you break causes this head shake. Dig in with your knees and use your core to keep your body where you want it. The bars are only for steering, not to hold you up. Sit on the bike, don't lay on it. @4:26 Finally got the bike up in the power band instead of bogging all race. Now you are holding the bars too tight and your throttle movement is throwing the bike everywhere. Roll off the throttle and roll it on. Be smooth. @4:29 Overshoot and snap the throttle off. Roll off the throttle slightly, drag the front brake early to get the bike to turn in, and maybe use a bit of clutch to stop the drive, but go easy on the throttle movement. Keep the engine spinning! @4:34 Same, keep the engine spinning, but roll off and roll on. @4:56 Excellent drive to the corner. This will make the bike sit, be stable, and accelerate. You should do this in every corner. @5:09 Bogging the engine and going through the corner slowly. Giving it full throttle while leaning over and the back comes around. Remember: If you don't crash once in a while, you are not trying hard enough. A helmet cam is a great tool to learn. At the start, how early did they get on the throttle? What were they doing that made them faster through the turns. These bikes have small engines so time is made by keeping your speed up at all times. The engine is bogging almost everywhere. Your engine should be at full revs 2/3 of the way down the fastest-longest straight.
