Here are the lyrics - based on those provided with the "Destroi The System" tape, although what Deek sings differs slightly from what is written in the printed sheet. I've tried to reconstruct the actual lyrics, there are a couple of words I wasn't able to understand though. Walking home on my own one night Suddenly I was dazzled by a flashing light Police car doors opened and I heard a shout ""'Ere let's get that skinhead lout"" (?) Minding my own busingess and I'd done no harm Still they were threatening to break my arm They pulled it behind my back and they punched my face So this is your police force? And it's a disgrace You can't do nothing nowadays You've gotta do whatever a copper says Can't even have a laugh without breaking stupid rules Then we get jumped on by these power-mad fools They'll stop and search you in the street It's just 'cause you've got booted feet They judge us by how we look and not how we act 'Cause they just don't want to know the facts We don't conform, we don't fit So they try and nick us for crimes we don't commit Police gave us nothing but abuse They'll try and pick you up on any excuse "'Ere" they'll cry, "What's your name?" Then they'll take you down to the station Where they'll use you as a punchbag (?) their frustration Well if you think I'm making up all this It's time you faced the reality of police prejudice Yes, they'll stamp all over any minority These thugs in uniform ain't fit for authority It's about time that we got this straight The police ain't here to protect us, mate! They're just tools of a fascist government (??) with hate and they turn this country into a police state
