It definitely underscores the value of these tests and the importance of establishing trends. Also, I am getting ready to replace a 26 year old Onan with that same 6kW Northern Lights and glad to see you're not having any major issues with it after a few thousand hours. Your craftmanship and attention to detail are outstanding!

Really appreciate your videos. After 50 years of sail we moved to a trawler. What is your opinion on using synthetic oil? I said opinion.

I think synthetic oil is a modern marvel. That being said, I never extend my oil change beyond the manufacturer-recommended interval of 200 hours. My petroleum-based oil works effectively under these circumstances and is much less expensive, so I choose non-synthetic for all my equipment.
