Anyone watching this years later, check you remove the SECOND sump plug as well or your only doing partial oil change. Also remember to grease the O rings before install of the oil filter, lithium white grease is preferable. Yes the Kwak is an odd beast, 2 sump plugs. Also the sump has a left handed thread on one of the oil feed lines, which is bonkers and makes even bike mechanics wonder WTH?!

My exhaust is preventing me from taking the filter out, I don’t even see your exhaust did you drop it?

the exhaust is there, its very close to the filter

@@backyardmechanical I was able to get it by undoing the bolts to the exhaust but didn’t have to take it all the way off the bike, just enough to shimmy the oil filter cap off. Hopefully someone will read this that needs it cause that was annoying to figure out haha

Please anyone that owns light year motorcycles do not put man-made oil in your bike first of all it's way expensive second of all it only lasts half the life of conventional it's a lose lose situation take it from me
