The ratio is 1 oil shard to 1 oil can in the oil extractor. You can only do 25 oil shards at a time in the oil extractor. 5 oil cans to 1 gas can. If you have all the points for the technology, then it you can go ahead and unlock everything and then build what you will need at that time. Like M80 said to do the regular batteries until you can get the advance. The breaker shuts off when you run out of power. Another great video sir.

The acquisition of oil has changed. Before, it used to just generate from the oil extractor without the need to add anything. But now, you need to place oil shale into it, in order to extract the oil. As I'm sure you know, the shale is obtained from mining it from the desert. You get sandstone as a kind of by-product that you can use to build with. Placing down extractors in the desert will also result in collecting oil shale and sandstone, rather than having to manually collect it from the large red rocks. Curious that you don't get heat from the electric furnace. 🤔

Yeah the no heat was strange, wonder if that fixed in the full update!

If you put an extractor in the desert, it will extract both sandstone and shale.

Can shale be extracted using the mineral extractor in the desert?
