Oil change on 2019 Thermo King unit S600

On new units requires special hose to drain the oil. I purchased from TK dealer for $250.

That sight glass on the compressor is your compressor oil not your Freon. When your unit is running high speed it should be half don't fill it full of compressor oil.

good video, do you know how many hours you have to start cleaning the EGR valves? I have cleaned the EGR valve of my truck, so I think it should not make much difference to clean the one of the Thermo king, what do you think? I'm going to call to order the hose to drain the oil. Thank you again!

Thank you.I haven't cleaned the EGR yet ,but thinking about to do near future. Usually 3000 Hours is about an year. So every year to replace the oil and filters.

I walked into tk yesterday and started asking a bunch of questions because I just bought a new unit. Apparently on the ‘new style’ engines, 6000 is manufacturers recommendation.

Nothing gonna change I have 2015 precedent s600 the dealer told me every 3000hours service and egr cleaning same motor and egr all parts are same

First maintenance must be not more than 1500 hours, and after every 3000 hours

Do you have a catwalk on that truck? I would not be doing a balancing act on that fraim. Be carfull👍

I do and you are correct. Next time I replaced the oil,I have not disconnected the trailer and used the catwalk.

Hey side note, nbd, but you shouldn’t ever let your 5th wheel get that dry! At least to the point where you can set stuff on it. Not good!

Reason why i chose that type of oil because, it perfectly work on all weather conditions and the most importantly its fully Synthetic by Mobil.

Brother 26k hours is at the point engine needs to be rebuild that's why they selling it. I've got my 2012 unit in 2021 with 8k hours
