How the tire life on those DUNLOP Q5S? interested in getting some
@monochrome5.0 Жыл бұрын
On the street a solid 3,500-4k On track. 1 day worth I’ll be seeing how they stack up to the new Pirelli rosso corsa IV that seems to be it’s only competition before going to a full on dot track day tire.
@Silent3442 Жыл бұрын
@@monochrome5.0 Thanks for the reply! Would you take them over the Power cup 2s for street riding? Im normally on pirelli supercorsas
@monochrome5.0 Жыл бұрын
@Silent3442 power cup 2 is my favorite The front tire provides a lot of feel that the Pirelli doesn’t have while having almost as much grip as them as well Faster warm up and don’t really have to chase pressures, set it and forget it atleast for track use. As for the Dunlops i only seen them providing good/enough grip for street use. The cup 2 and super corsa felt far superior… on track my traction control was constantly on with the q5s They do last longer on the street though-Q5s It’s all going to come down to if your just riding the street or actually going to mix in some trackdays. Any of the tires will be fine on the road Now for track use I much rather have the added safety net/grip that dot track tires provide

I have a question brother, I have the same bike, I just bought it but it is controlled, I cannot go faster than 120, they told me that after the first oil change they were going to ungovern it, do you have some tricks so that I can do it because they want to charge me a lot? or do I have to take it to the dealer ? What skills you can share bro?
@monochrome5.010 ай бұрын
If you have a gs-11 scanning tool you can do it. Otherwise you’re going to have to have them do a first service. I have friends that have just paid 50 bucks for them to unlock it so I would check another dealer bro and just do the maintenance side yourself.

So what level of oil you say is correct like where yours is at on the eye glass mines down to half way I guess I probably need to ad oil, I guess after getting on it some it drinks some oil. Its a 2023 s1000R red just like yours but I have Brocks exhaust . ? you took whole fairing off for filter I guess you have to do that uggg.
@monochrome5.0 Жыл бұрын
You can run it in the middle but they bikes rely on good oil supply so run it closer to the top and yes they do consume oil into the air box but no where near as bad as my 22 Zx10r did. Hope your enjoying every bit of it brotha
@CapitalCash Жыл бұрын
@@monochrome5.0 Thanks for confirming yeah I have a 22 zx10r also it takes tons oil and gets that high pitch sound can tell its low. This bike was giving me higher pitch too but dealer made it sound like it would never need anything till 6,000 miles but yeah its half way soo thanks yes I m definitely going to add some thanks for the reply.

How many litres of oil?

5quarts or 4.7 liters

I change my oil every 2k or when it looks dirty. You went way to long imo
@monochrome5.0 Жыл бұрын
I normally do it every 3-3.5k. In this instance I ran it longer, according to bmw’s interval, I did it 950 miles before the service light was due. This bike had its first service 700miles-> at the dealer so 5400 miles on the second batch of oil isn’t going to hurt anything let lone doing it earlier then what bmw states. Going forward I’ll be sticking to my 3-3.5k intervals
@JoeShep71 Жыл бұрын
That bmws interval. I've had analysis done after 6k and everything was good. Even having done a track weekend in that time
@Kc2Heatz Жыл бұрын
@@JoeShep71 that’s good to know I’m sure go longer then 2k but I just can’t get pass the black tar looking oil. I prolly ride about 3k to 4k miles a season. I change at the beginning of the season and just before the season ends. I put it away with clean oil

@kcskeeskert I mean I’ve ridden other jap bikes 5-6k and never had a problem either but they also weren’t almost 30k so cheap insurance plus I like wrenching on my stuff😎

This oil or LIQUI MOLY?
@monochrome5.010 ай бұрын
Man hard to say, I’m at the point to where it doesn’t really matter. A lot of people have shit to say on what’s good or bad so I just try and change the oil pretty often with some type of brand of status marketing or not. Ps i only ran liquid Molly in my rs660 Otherwise all the other Japanese or euro bikes I’ve put motul 7100
@MohamedQureshi10 ай бұрын
@@monochrome5.0 I tried both, Liqui Moly and Motul. Frankly, Liqui Moly is better in terms of friction, vibration, and longevity. So, a final question, which is better, the Kawasaki ZX10R or the BMW S1000RR?
@monochrome5.010 ай бұрын
@MohamedQureshi bmw was unmatched,it unlocked a whole new level of ride-ability! I will say the kawi did have a better feel in the chassis when equipped with Pirelli slicks. But that s1000rr just check everything in check.

@@monochrome5.0 So, how is the reliability of the S1000RR, and which is better in terms of driving and enjoyment, Kawasaki or BMW?
@monochrome5.010 ай бұрын
The new bmw’s are definitely more refined/reliable then the previous years. With that being said,Kawasaki is more reliable/bullet proof motor wise. S1kRR = do it all. And amazing when built up with a higher budget. Zx10r = better race bike when built with limited budget.

2:00 That´s what you get for letting the oil 6000 miles and did not change it since the bike was new with 0 miles and put a Red Line 10W40 of 90 dollars... This pathetic oil could not protect the engine decently and there you have engine wear with it´s particular horse power and compresion lost. If you can´t change the oil every 4000km, better to sell the bike dude, learn the basics before spending 18.000 dollars in a bike.... Changing the oil when it´s black color means a lot of the owner.

Hey smart ass I have a video from when I took it in For the first service at 700ish miles and In fact according to the service interval on the dash I still had 954 miles to go with this bmw 5w-40 oil that was put in by the dealer all before it’s second oil change that I’m now doing. -this oil was not black. And if it was motul it turns brownish orange not black Not to mention Haven’t had any issues with the 4-5 different bikes I’ve had on this channel all running the motul oil or liquid moly. I’ve always been big on doing my maintenance early so don’t come at me with that shit.

Get on Facebook and check all the bmw forms that’s a normal amount of metal on the drain plug so your telling me the bmw motorad oil that comes in the bike then used again during the first service is not what the manufacturer recommends. Yeah that sounds dumb as fuck
